I loved my stay at Cliff House while visiting Manitou Springs. At check in I was surprised with a complimentary upgrade from a standard king room to a deluxe king. Completely unexpected and so thankful for. The room was clean, had a beautiful view of the mountains, a cozy fireplace, huge bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub, heated toilet seats, a bathrobe and the personalized welcome message on the tv was a nice touch. Charged my credit card for reservations that I got no confirmation of- and someone over 5 days no manager is there or can return a call.
I guess I will go through my credit card companies. Won’t ever be trying this again

The Cliff House Dining Room offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere, with attentive service and well-presented meals. The Caesars salad is a bit heavy on vinegar, but the trout and pork chop dishes are excellent, though the pork chop may be a little salty. The cheesecake dessert is enjoyable, while the passion fruit and chocolate dessert is quite tart. The breakfast buffet is a rare value, with good quality and reasonable pricing. The patio dining experience, with its beautiful garden setting, is also a highlight. The food was excellent, and the service was formal and very well done. The building is over 150 years old and very well kept. Customers recommend the gnocchi for an appetizer, the crème brûlée, and the elk chops, which are delicious. The restaurant goes above and beyond with little touches to make the dining experience special.
