“While visiting Colorado Springs for work, we had made reservations for 5 at The Rabbit Hole in Downtown.

Getting here was fairly easy with the GPS but finding the actual “restaurant” (we were looking for a building) was an event. We had no idea that it looked like the entrance to a substation! I thought how fitting and cool it looked for a rabbit hole in the middle of downtown Colorado Springs.

It led us down a narrow staircase that led us to an underground bar and dining area. There were little “pockets” - or rabbit burrows - around the perimeter of the dining area where patrons and tables were situated. I was amused with the whole Alice in Wonderland theme. I thought it was genius! They even had clever names for menu items.

The food we had was delicious. Most of us ordered steaks. It just seemed fitting with the very dim lighting. I barely finished a third of the steak because it was huge! It was the best thing I had during this trip!

The service was great - our server came to check on us constantly.

Overall, fantastic dining experience with a theme. The food was delicious and the service was great. I recommend making reservations.

“This was our second visit, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. Nathan, our server, was excellent. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed. The only downside is that there are occasional groups of guests who wander by and can sometimes be loud and boisterous, but it typically lasts only for a few minutes. Altogether, the absolutely stunning view, excellent service, and ambiance make this restaurant an experience you will definitely want to explore.“
