PJ's Stagecoach Inn

I love Stagecoach as I have gone so many times while in Manitou. I feel like quality is either hit or miss. Sometimes I will get me food delivered to my table quickly. The food will be hot and all very delicious. Other times, I am having to wait a very long time just to be served food that is 'heat lamp hot' and poor quality. The environment is nice and the staff always seems very friendly but you just never know how the food is going to be.

We thought we would try this place again because they were advertising new chef. However, after our experience last night we will never be back again! The cook seems to be "experimenting" on the guests. Trying disgusting spices in the side dishes. When we told the waiter that we did not care for the side dishes (cauliflower mashed, baked squash, and coleslaw) he didn't even offer to take it off the bill or get us something else. I had the trout with mashed potatoes and squash. The fish was good, the potatoes excellent, and the squash OK. Service was a little slow given the small number of folks in the place but not a big deal. The food came quickly. Overall a pleasant experience. I'd come back.
