“This is the second year I've had my bday celebration there on a Tuesday Karaoke and they really do go out of their way to make a gal feel special!! Bday decor, bday drink, they held the cake in the back for us and supplied us with extra plates, napkins etc when we were ready. I'm such a fan of the food and staff!! Gonna continue to support this incredible restaurant!“
“Our experience was nothing less than perfect. The atmosphere, the leisurely pace between courses, our server Austin, and the culinary journey through Thailand were all that we could have asked for and more. We left completely full....not only of food but also full of memories that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you!“
“I held a brunch here for my friends and we loved this place! I was able to work easily with the staff to create a menu that suited some folks with dietary restrictions and provided a great experience for everyone there! The spacious dining area and ability to access so many different types of beverages was also a plus! We enjoyed our time here! I'd recommend for large groups as well as simple date nights!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available!“
“Food was top notch, drinks well crafted, minor issues are it looked like they could have used another wait service person as they where a bit busy for the staff they had and really should call ahead and make a reservation this place is always busy.Parking: Parking is tough, and if its full around expect a decent wait.“
“We were seeking something new and stumbled across this gem on our excursion. Tucked in a beautiful church that originated in 1897 as the first African American church in Colorado Springs is The Carter Payne, bringing the same sense of community to its visitors. We were immediately greeted and staff explained how they were set up. It was brunch hour so we sat down to explore the menu. Around us, there were three bars-one for specialty cocktails, one for beer, and one for wine. Each offered unique options that I promise you can't find elsewhere. Food and most of the non-alcoholic options were at the table. We opted for a flight of mimosas, French press coffee and brunch. I had the arrachera and eggs. My husband had the monte cristo French toast plate. I subbed the tortilla with a biscuit because The Carter Payne has house made jam that I couldn't pass up. Our mimosa flight came out and it was perfection. A large bottle of champagne and a flight of four juices including grapefruit, orange, pineapple and cranberry. We started with that and out came our food. Both plates were beautifully put together-visually and flavor combinations were well thought out. The jams for the weekend were pear ginger and blueberry lemon. Both of these were absolutely bursting with flavor. The steak on the arrachera was lacking a little in the seasoning department and the biscuit was cold. The eggs were a little overcooked for me. Outside of those small things, this was an extremely positive experience. The art on the wall was awesome and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!“
“A gluten free Tapas restaurant? I'm in heaven. A cozy place with an open kitchen so you can see the variety of completely gluten free delicious dishes being cooked right in front of you. Alyssa is a friendly, professional manager. Top top!Dietary restrictions: Completely gluten free!“
“Another day…another review!Tonight my wife and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at The Manhattan Room. It was a new place for us and we decided what they hey…let’s splurge a bit. Tapas has never been my go to because it always felt weird to buy a million small plates to share. But tonight we did it and over all the experience was solid.First, loved the atmosphere. Had a cool jazzy feel to the place and that’s what was being piped in over the speakers. Only real off putting thing about the place was a strange smell when we showed up. It smelled like their sewage lines had backed up.Now the food…we went crazy.Lamb meatballs (3.5 out of 5)Chicken empanadas (1 out of 5)Serrano ham croquettes (4.5 out of 5)Duck fat potatoes (3 out of 5)Hanger steak (4.5 out of 5)Crème brûlée (2 out of 5)Sticky toffee pudding (5 out of 5)Chocolate mousse (2.5 out of 5)I’ll hit the highlights and lowlights:The 3 highlights were the croquettes, hanger steak and the stick toffee pudding. I mean I could have thrown down about 8 servings of the toffee pudding…it might actually be my new favorite dessert. The lowlights chicken empanadas were over fried and terribly bland. But the true crime was the crème brûlée… burnt sugar and the syrup they had on top was reminiscent of robitussin. For $91 + tip, I felt it was fairly priced for the experience. All in all though I do plan on going back since their menu rotates. They also plan on expanding the menu to up to 50 small plates. — with Shawnda Wood at Manhattan Room Tapas Kitchen.“
“This is such an amazing place. All food was good. Husband had prime dip. I had chicken pot pie and it tasted homemade. All staff were so amazing and helpful. It is a smaller place but it’s so cozy. I will visit next time we’re in town. Come and support this family run business for over 10 years. Support local ?“
