“The cocktails were amazing and so was the service. The burger came out somewhat raw when ordered medium. It was sent back and new one was better and comped. Fries were sweet (not a fan). Apple crumble tasted like baked oatmeal with apple and bland. Overall, go there for drinks and ambience and service but be mindful about the food.“

“Incredible cocktails- super inventive / creative. Dr p was awesome as was the chile , avocado and many more. The 90s music was amazing and the vibe was so fun. The bartenders are probably some of the best in the city and are so fast at making drinks !! Really really cool spot“

“Just performed music and flow arts here. Walking in, before I could exclaim I was booked to play, I was met with a warm welcome. That's how you know it's legit. Solid staff, classy cocktails including NA options, great sound engineer and atmosphere no doubt. Will be back.“

“When I have friends stopping through town on the way to the slopes or even a convention, I usually take them to Avanti. They’re gonna see the mountains, usually have a day or two planned to explore them. I think it’s nice to showcase our city skyline and the view of downtown from the spacious upstairs bar and patio. The city lights just glistening at night from that vantage point… The food court features local eateries and usually covers every flavor for a lunch or dinner palette. The vine list is refreshing... parking does stink on weekends because the area is so popular. It's got a lot of screens to watch games or open seating to catch up with friends.“

“This historic original Coors tap house is one of the greatest bars and restaurants in Denver, tucked away in the very hip Highlands neighborhood. The amazing bartenders and staff offer great service that perfectly complements the delicious and tasty food. The menu is absolutely mouth-watering, from the house-made pork rinds and tavern tots to the delicious pastrami. My personal favorite, though, has to be the green chili stew.“

“Met some friends here for the first time and love the place. Drinks are kind of pricey, but good quality, and there’s been lots of thought put into the atmosphere. Nice patio with pretty curtains to block the sun and plenty of plants. Friendly, attentive staff. We’ll be back!“

“An extraordinary meal where four of us basically ordered 90% of what was on the menu. It came out with a speed that was a bit overwhelming and we didn't know what to taste first. But the concept of all dishes being shared and apportioned to the number of guests at the table is already a huge plus: no agonizing over how to split orders - it's already been done. Highly recommend the Dragon Whiskers, Gai Lan, Pork Ribs, Duck Roll, Lamb noodles with neck, with sadly the expensive grilled bass being a pass: it was dry and lacked the anticipated flavor. The service was impeccable. Overall, a great night out!“

“My boyfriend and I came here because we had a Groupon for a flight, cocktail, and distillery tour. It was awesome! The tour guide, Andy (I think that was his name) was very personable and down to earth. He had some good jokes/puns. The bartender was sweet and we met the owner briefly. We each chose different liquors for our flights and enjoyed each one plus our cocktails were great. My personal favorite for the flight was the V.I. Rum. After the tour we also got the maple bacon old fashioned which was different but equally delicious. Everything on the menu looked great and while we didn't try any of the food offerings, we will definitely be back. The bar was an intimate setting and the pinball machines were great. We live in Aurora but we can't wait to come back as this place is definitely worth the drive for us!“

“The first time we went, last year, it was such a great time and overall experience but this last was nothing even close. It was so busy that you couldn’t get a drink or golf. The bathroom had to be cleaned because someone urinated everywhere.
Not sure we will return….“

“Romero's is genuinely the best taproom I've ever been to! The beer list is always impressive and it's constantly rotating so there's always something new to try. It's a must visit if you're a beer and/or dog lover or just want a fun spot to watch a game on Sunday“

“To have a place to go within walking distance from my house is great! It’s dog friendly and the owners even kept a few items from the previous market! Will definitely be back and hope that they try and get some outdoor space and turn the volume up on the music! 🍻💙“

“Such a cute neighborhood spot! It’s moody and vibey, with fun decor. It feels family-owned and the employees are all really nice.
The food was decent overall. Definitely an eclectic mix on the menu, which felt a little all over the place, but there were some highlights. I especially liked the nasi lemak and the almond pista kulfi. The nasi lemak was aromatic and SPICY. The almond pista kulfi was sweet, creamy, and just a touch tangy. It was the perfect treat to cool off my burning tongue.“

“This place is AMAZING! The bartenders, the atmosphere, the people, the drinks, so good highly highly recommend! I will most definitely be going back here as like a go to spot. The atmosphere is so inviting and warm, the music isn’t super loud, there’s plenty of room and their drinks are incredible! We tried the 11:11 and the bartenders choice. This place is quite hidden, but it adds to the charm! Best to park in a parking lot and walk!“

“Warm nicely finished woodwork provides a welcoming historic atmosphere. Our experience was 100% on their patio which is a leftover COVID make-shift tent with zero ambiance however well protected from the weather elements in the unlikely event there’s a bad weather in a place with 300+ days of sunshine. Burgers and sandwiches are tops with your own table try of condiments provided. Drink selection is extensive and mixed well along with a wide variety of good beer choices. Service was great though we were pushed to leave far too quickly without even a mention of dessert even though they were well aware that was our visit purpose nor a apology they had no dessert or cup of coffee. Atmosphere inside historic and warm, outside no more than a camping tent. Food - Excellent sandwiches and burgers. Service- Good though pushed to leave very quickly. Price - Average.“

“Best hotel I ever stayed in. No lying. Went during Halloween and paid $258 per night. A bit pricey but the location and amenities made up for it.
Upon check in they give you a free draft beer/rosé.
The hotel is baseball theme and has a bunch of food spots surrounding it. Hot tub has a nice view. And they served free ice cream at 4 pm with a musician playing music. Definitely will visit again if I am ever in town“

“It's our favorite bar in Denver. I grew up here, but only visit from time to time now. PonPon is hands down Denver's coolest bar, and it's not simply surface: yes, the atmosphere is exceedingly cool, but it's also extremely playful, and if you feel intimidated by the atmosphere, the incredibly warm bar staff will help you feel at ease. This is truly a sophisticated spot posing as a dive bar - you can get a glass of Txlakolina as readily as you might get a $4 Gennessee, or the best Japanese whisky cocktail as easily as a Mexican Coke or a glass of Four Roses from the 1970s salvaged from an estate sale. There's something here for everyone, from the eclectic decor to the art gallery in back. This is a must visit spot if you like cozy watering holes with kick-a music and awesome service.“

“Whiskey Bar in Denver is one of those rare spots that immediately makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something authentic—no gimmicks, no manufactured “speakeasy” theme, just a true neighborhood bar with soul, history, and a whiskey selection that honestly rivals some of the most hyped spots in the city. Tucked right in the heart of downtown, this place feels like an escape from the polished cocktail lounges that seem to pop up every week. It’s gritty in the best possible way—warm lighting, wood everywhere, shelves packed with bottles that tell their own stories, and a crowd that’s a mix of locals, service industry pros, and people who genuinely appreciate a good pour.
But the real reason this place stands out is the staff—specifically Jessica, who might be one of the best bartenders I’ve had in Denver. Jessica is the definition of what makes a bar memorable. She’s fast, sharp, and somehow manages to give everyone personalized attention even when the place is shoulder-to-shoulder. She knows her whiskey inside and out—whether you’re talking Japanese, rye, obscure small-batch bourbons, or barrel-strength beasts—and she gives recommendations that hit perfectly every time. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, not just slinging drinks but building an atmosphere where people feel taken care of. That level of talent and hospitality is rare, and she elevates the entire experience.
The whiskey list itself is outstanding. Whether you’re a collector, casual drinker, or someone trying to expand your palate, there’s something here that will surprise you. Prices are fair—shockingly fair for downtown Denver—and the pours are generous. It’s the kind of place where you can try something that would cost double elsewhere. They also mix a great Old Fashioned: balanced, not overly sweet, with the whiskey still front and center the way it should be.
The crowd is lively but never pretentious. This is a bar where you can show up in a hoodie after work or dressed up for a night out and still feel perfectly at home. Music is solid, energy is upbeat without being overwhelming, and even when it gets packed, the vibe stays friendly. That says a lot about how well the staff runs it—again, credit to people like Jessica who create that environment.
If you’re visiting Denver or even if you’ve lived here for years and somehow haven’t stopped in, Whiskey Bar is absolutely worth adding to your list. It’s the kind of spot that reminds you what a good bar should be: not just great drinks, but great people, great atmosphere, and memories you actually remember the next day. Huge shoutout to Jessica for making the entire night special—she alone is worth the return trip. This place is a Denver classic for a reason. Highly recommend.“
