Hong's Garden Reviews
I got the Sweet & Sour Combination, which has shrimp & chicken. The portion size was quite large, and the lunch special discount made it totally worth it. The shrimp, rice, spring roll, and Hot & Sour soup was great. However, the chicken was a bit… off. The ingredients are cheap, but they didn’t taste bad. The dining room was fairly clean, and my food came out pretty quick. The building is a bit shabby and outdated.
Shrimp fried rice is off the chain with these big old pieces of shrimp
Food is great but customer service not so much especially over the phone. I’d eat there more often if they cared about repeat customers.

Hong's Garden is a cozy spot for a meal, known for its authentic Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices. The restaurant serves dishes like the "C" dinner and lunch specials, which are flavorful and tender. Vegetarians will find a variety of tofu and vegetable options available. Customers have noted that the food is cooked well, with good flavor, surpassing the usual "Panda Express" quality found in many Chinese restaurants.
Many have praised the humble exterior and highlighted popular items like the Sesame chicken, Orange chicken, General Tso chicken, and cheese ragoons, along with generous portions of noodles and rice, which contains bits of egg. The restaurant focuses on using potato flour, making several dishes gluten-free, which is important for some diners. Convenient parking and wheelchair accessibility are additional benefits.
While the prices are fair, some customers have mentioned that the portion sizes could be slightly larger compared to other Chinese food places. The service varies depending on who is working, and there have been some issues with takeout orders not being prepared until the customer arrives. Despite this, Hong's Garden remains a nice spot for takeout, and many are grateful for the presence of this restaurant in the area.
