This place was recommended by a friend and I am glad I went.It has been hard dining a decent Mexican restaurant here.The food was amazing and the margaritas were even better.The service was great and everyone was extremely friendly.Definitely would recommend this place!

Based on the reviews, Los Girasoles Mexican Food is a great family spot with the best Mexican food in Pueblo. The atmosphere is perfect for a big group or just two people. The food is always on point, so fresh, and never disappointing. The Sunday buffet and 2 for 1 for the games are popular. The buffet has plenty of Pazole, menudo, and chili Colorado, which is savory comfort food. Flautas, beans and rice, and steak fajitas are also great.
However, some experiences have been mixed. One guest ordered the Barbacoa entree but received dark meat with tons of fat that smelled horrible. The waiter, who said he was the manager, argued instead of helping and insulted the guest. The owner replaced the meat but still charged for the bad meat, leading to a $80 bill where the guest did not get to eat with their guests. Another guest found the buffet items dry, though they would try again. A server named Bethzayda was friendly and efficient. Overall, it is a favorite place with great prices, nice size portions, and friendly wait staff, though service can be inconsistent.
