“This review is nearly 20 years past due! I had gone to this place when i was a child and to this day everytime i eat a tortilla i think of this place! I still remember how good the tortillas were/apparently still are! If i find myself back in CO again i will CERTAINLY give this place a visit!!! Just so everyone knows, no store bought tortillas had/has ever EVER topped these tortillas YET. Thats how good I remember them being. “My daughter took me here for lunch my 1st time. It was delicious and not only were the employees kind but the other customers as well. Were very kind one even brought me and my daughter our food, accidentally spilt a salsa went got a new salsa and a mop cleaned the mess and then ordered his food. Absolutely great atmosphere.“

My wife and and I have been living in Virginia for two years - and truly missed Martinez food. So when we came back this week on vacation, we drove 90 miles from Salida to eat there. I (Scott) had the 3 taco plate (ground beef with fried flour tortillas) and loved them. I though the prices were totally reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. They have great street side seating, but due to the heat we chose to sit inside. My only recommendation is that you not charge for chips and salsa, at any hour. People have come to expect that and it shouldn't effect your food cost that much. We will definitely be back and recommend our guests to your place.“

If you are "posh" so to speak with pinkies in air then move on, doubt you will appreciate this place. Service was great! Food came out quick, hot, and just how we wanted and expected. Our servers have been friendly, courteous, very attentive. If you are wanting something familiar to you (home cooked flavor) You really should stop in. They close at 2pm, be sure to get there by 1:30-1:45 at the latest.
Earlier you show up , even better the food.
Even if you cut it close they DO NOT drop the ball, patiently tend you. No rush. Sit and enjoy a decent meal! Reasonably priced I feel if you compare quantity, quality, and price to other places. All around a wonderful sit down place to relax and enjoy a decent meal away from home ?“

“We picked up dinner tonight and it was absolutely delicious, so good we had to call the restaurant afterwards to let them know. The person who took our order was quite friendly and patient. We were able to pick our order up in 20 minutes and the lady (Terry) who brought out our food could not have been any friendlier. The food was labeled for us, the portions were very generous and well worth the cost, the food was the perfect temperature when we were ready to eat. Highly recommend their chicken enchiladas with red chili (yummy). If your experience was negative by going into the restaurant to eat, than do take out! Nachos food is too hard to pass up.
