Apothecary Farms - Pueblo Pet Friendly •
1917 Santa Fe Dr, Pueblo

“This is by far one of my favorite dispensaries and the staff is always so nice and helpful. My problem is the flower has a large amount of stems on the bud. I destemed my Oz a few times and found my Oz is mostly stems. I pay good money for my flower and I'm just wondering why y'all don't take the time to properly de stem the flower? Prices and friendlyness is always on point so the stems are really our only issue.“

The Walter Brewing Company Brewery • $
126 Oneida St, Pueblo

“We’ve heard many good things about Walter’s. It wasn’t until recently we decided to give it a shot and come to find out, we absolutely love the place! The easy going atmosphere and “happy to help” staff really made it enjoyable. The outdoor seating area is massive, with so much room for activities. The pricing left us jaw dropped, as it’s hard to come by a delicious brew at that decent of a price. We will gladly be back, hopefully very soon!“

Charcuterie

“First time visit. The place was empty when we arrived, not unusual for a Wednesday evening. The decor reflects the space's earlier incarnation as a police station, but ties it together with modern touches here and there. The bartender (James?) was friendly and skilled - my Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned was delicious while my wife was pleased to try her first New York Sour. This is definitely a place we will return to again and again.“

The service was great..our server made suggestions, even with suggestions on one dressing being better with the sandwich than an other due to flavors going together. Which, I appreciated! “Beautiful restaurant with multiple sections indoors and out. A little bit of an up and down to get in if you park on the road but it’s worth it. Easy street parking was available when we went and the place is kid friendly. A bakery and coffeeshop is inside and the carrot cake is delicious! Will definitely come back the next time we are in town:)“

Station on the Riverwalk Pet Friendly • $$
140 Central Main St Suit 222, Pueblo

“The Station is a wonderful little boutique hotel that you won't want to miss. Snuggled up next to the Riverwalk and right in the middle of Old Pueblo, the charm of this place is first class. A shame the giant garden tub wasn't operational, but the overhead shower was perfectly fine. We weren't expecting the giant tub anyway so it wasn't a huge issue. Beds are VERY soft & plush so if you have back issues be forewarned. We stayed on a Sunday, so the downstairs bar, The Clink, was closed but it also looked very charming and inviting. Definitely recommend this hotel. There are eateries all over nearby for any price range - mid to high range if you eat on the Riverwalk, lower if you go for fast food (of which there is plenty). Earlier check-ins if needed & the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Smokers: These are non-smoking rooms and Pueblo is no smoking in public areas so be prepared. (Smoking in the rooms incurs a huge extra fee so save yourself a headache and abide by the rules.Safety: If exploring the area after dark, please don't walk alone. Most everything is relatively safe, but perfect yourself with a group or partner.Walkability: Right on the Riverwalk and within walking distance of places like Neon Alley and Old Town as well as a quaint downtown with lots of adorable shops.“

“Reading other people's reviews, it appears that this place is hit or miss. My experience was positive, and the restaurant was pretty full when I went (about 11:30am on a Tuesday). The BBQ sauces they have are not bad; my favorite was the one in the yellow bottle although they're all pretty decent. The pulled pork was very solid. It was very moist and I ate all of the pulled pork without any BBQ sauce. I have been to a lot of BBQ places where the pulled pork is super dry and doesn't have much flavor to it, so in order to make it decent it needs to be slathered in BBQ sauce. The sausage wasn't bad. There was a very light spiciness to it, although it was a little tough. The brisket was not that good; it was a little dry and didn't have any flavor to it. I ate it with BBQ sauce because it was not that good on its own.The mac & cheese was decent. It was pretty creamy although it had a name brand taste to it (maybe Kraft?). It still wasn't terrible though, although I have had much better mac & cheese at other restaurants. The beans were pretty decent too. They have a slightly sweet taste to them (maybe brown sugar?). They were also on the harder end, although it wasn't a huge deal for me. If they were slightly softer though, they would've been really good. The 3 meat plate is a little overpriced for the quality of the food and amount you get but at the end of the day it's a pretty good BBQ joint.“
