“We played bingo on valentine's day and they had space open for a cool and casual evening with good music. Slightly loud but a wonderful homey feel. Food was a unique selection and came out rapidly, only qualm was the has brown could have been dried a touch longer to avoid being damp. Our server was wonderful and quick, especially considering how busy he was by himself! Cheers.“
“If you like a bar where the locals stare at you, come on in! The food was good. There were multiple pool tables. The girl behind the bar was an 8 with a touch of crazy. That almost brings her to a 9. So, all in all. It's not a bad bar.“
“I loved seeing a bar honor our military and the service was amazing. I just want to say thank u to all the military service men and veterans that go to that bar or have been to that bar as I am a proud daughter of an Army Veteran...Happy Veterans “
“Was invited to a live entertainment event and ended up booking a show for my own cover group. The owner spent some time fixing up a new stage for shows and hired a great caterer/food truck service to supply great BBQ and comfort foods for all events.A couple of tvs, pool table, large fenced-in yard for outdoor activities (next year will have outdoor events)Great little place out in the county.Hamburger, brisket, pulled pork, tacos, cold drinks. Nice place to party ???Live music on the weekends, karaoke.“
“Pueblo's latest quality restaurant opens at the SE Corner of Routt and Northern in the old "Steve's Klammshell" jazz bar. I had considered buying this place a decade ago for the five apartments on the top floor, but I knew nothing about running a restaurant, so I took a pass, despite the very good price at which the place was offered. Now, having just moved into the neighborhood from Colorado Springs and eating mostly Mexican, Hispanic and Italian family-owned restaurants, I saw the "Steakhouse" sign in the window and I had to stop in.The place has been completely, tastefully redone by Kelly and Dave, the husband-wife team who are two of the new owners. soft, The dark-wood decor is a total upgrade from the diner setting and decor previously. It was perfect for my tastes as was the eclectic mix of music, which included a lot of soft rock and some Southern rock. For bottled beer I had a Modelo, which was very good, and I ordered their sirloin steak, which was wonderful (I wanted prime rib, but they were sold out when I got there 20 minutes before closing.). They serve a great salad, with creamy Italian dressing and you can have bleu cheese crumbles with that if you ask. The place is very much like a spacious version of Quincy's Steakhouse in Florence, and has a huge separate dining room on the east side with a wonderful functional fireplace. The seating was comfortable and the booths were roomy, the seats not too soft (too soft seats sinking down--always a bad thing at a restaurant!). The staff was prompt, friendly, courteous, and almost old-world in their gentility. Their prices were very good--I think $27.50 for a 12-ounce, thick-cut prime rib slab. Remarkable in today's inflationary market. I would recommend this place to anyone desiring a romantic evening with an elegant meal. Next time I am bringing a date.“
“My husband, 1-year old, and I stopped at 1129 Spirits & Eatery for dinner on a Tuesday evening. I ordered a classic cheeseburger and my husband ordered the chicken and waffles. They did not have a kids menu so we ordered a side of fries for our kiddo. The food was pretty delicious. My husband said it was the best chicken and waffles he’s ever had. That’s a huge statement coming from him. My cheeseburger was super fresh and delicious, and the side of fries were extremely filling. Alcoholic beverages my husband ordered old elk bourbon and I ordered a lavender lemon drop (AMAZING by the way). Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They also put on a trivia game with 10 questions. They have multiple rounds but we couldn’t stay because we have a young baby. But the winner can win a $15 gift card. Not bad!The tables and floors were interesting, gave off a retro vibe along with the mood lighting when trivia started. The cost is pricey, but so is a lot of restaurants in Pueblo (unfortunately). Our total for everything we ordered came out to $65 + a tip. Like I said pricey. I think the burger alone was like $17 (just wow), it was good though. If you’re looking for a neat experience and good food, I recommend 1129 Spirits & Eatery.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and boosters for toddlers.“
“Haven't been here for a long time. Looks the same other than the pool table is gone. Still clean and hospitable atmosphere. Waitresses and bartender staff are very friendly and do a great job. My only complaints are that the men's bathroom wreaked of urine. It desperately needs a good cleaning and sanitizing. Also, in front of the building, along the street, there are a bunch of big chunks of concrete that are a tripping hazard. They need to be removed, and the damaged area needs repairs.“
“The Gold Dust is one of those places in Pueblo that if you didn't know where to look you would miss it. The atmosphere is bar like in the evening but in the afternoon it is perfect to bring kids into. The BBQ pork pops are a wonderful appetizer but if you get a what a night! Burger be forewarned it may be more than you bargained for in terms of size.“
“This is a great old school Bar & Grill. We had a great time last night! Good beers (bottle, but with some Colorado craft brews, L. had a 1559 from New Belgium). Great service, and the wings were excellent. It wasn't crowded, and we had a fun conversation with another customer at the bar. It was really welcoming, and we will be back.“
“This place has been here for more than 40 years for a reason-- good food, good atmosphere, great prices. They have pool tables, a foosball table, outdoor seating/smoking area, and a jukebox. The owner was kind enough to take a moment and give us a quick history lesson about the place, very interesting. Did I mention great food?“
“This was the first time going to this place I've been working down the road for the last month. My boss rewarded us for a job well done and took us out to eat after work and this grill was the most relaxing bar and grill I've ever been to. The bartender was extremely nice and she was very helpful. I've also never had sliced potato fries that were extremely delicious.“
“Been to the Beer Barrel many times and they are always spot on. Great service, great food, and awesome staff! Without a doubt they have the best Slopper anywhere in the city and all of the surroundingarea ! We're headed there in a few minutes! You gotta give them a try. You won't regret it!“
