“Hidden beneath Taco Del Gnar, I wouldn't have found this place if we hadn't been directed to it by a bartender at another local bar (they closed at 8--this place is open until 2). Such a hidden gem! We met both the owner and bartender, who were friends from Chicago. The bottled craft beer selection was diverse, and we were pleased to find a large offering of stouts, which is the perfect winter beer in my opinion. Several TVs, and they were willing to find a hockey game for my husband. Decor is nice. Maybe a little bright for a basement bar, but unlike your traditional dive bar, it was sparkling clean, so it's not like the dark was required to hide the dirt you'd rather not see. We'll definitely stop in again if we're ever in Ridgway. A nice little stop between Ouray and Telluride.“
“Tammee and her crew catered our daughters wedding in Ouray this past weekend. Fabulous doesn’t start to describe! She also did the cake which stole the show! Several comments I have gotten since included ‘best wedding cake I’ve ever tasted’ to ‘top 3 cake in my lifetime’. We followed up by going to the cafe on Sunday where again the food was fantastic! If you need an event caterer or a place for lunch/dinner True Grit is the place!“
“The wings in Buffalo sauce were excellent. The French fries were extra crispy as requested. And the ESB draft beers were as good as any we had in the UK. Add in the friendly staff and quick service and it should be on your “must” list when you are in Ouray.“
“Unique vibe with a stellar view. Love that the downstairs is dog friendly! Delicious old fashioned and my wife got a vanilla vodka elderflower cocktail. They don’t serve food here but we stopped before dinner and ended up coming back for a night cap“
“I order a pep pizza for takeout and it was one of the best pizza I've had. Service was fast and friendly only waited 10min for the pizza and while i was waiting. I noticed that the atmosphere was really chill would definitely grab a few drinks from the bar if it wasn't takeout.“
“Locals love this place because we can count on their hours even during non-touristy seasons. They recently changed their menu and added additional vegetarian options. Their soup specials are to die for- try the Dill Pickle Soup! Personally, I love the Brussel Sprouts Salad. I can no longer accept brussel sprouts any way but shaved after having this salad.“
