Harison's, located in the Holiday Inn, offers a cozy setting for a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant has two areas, a sports bar up front for watching games and a more formal dining area in the back. During happy hour, which is offered daily from 3pm to 6pm, guests can enjoy a variety of food options such as dry rub chicken wings, artichoke dip, and pizza.
The dry rub chicken wings are crispy on the outside with great flavors and juicy insides, and the artichoke dip is highly recommended with its delicious cheese pull and large artichoke pieces. The chips served with the dip are sturdy and able to withstand a lot of dip. However, the pizza, specifically the 8-inch happy hour Mortadella pizza, was found to be extremely oily with a lacking taste and thin crust. The pepperoni pizza was even oilier.
Service at Harison's is generally good, with friendly waitstaff. However, there may be some delays in receiving entrees. The waitstaff may not be overly familiar with the menu, but they are willing to learn and explain menu items such as "well drinks", which are mixed drinks made with the house liquor.
The restaurant offers elevated cuisine, with the pepperoni pizza being a standout dish with Calabrian peppers and honey. Overall, Harison's is a nice option for a meal in Steamboat Springs, with easy parking and delicious food. As a new establishment, it may still be working out some kinks, but it has potential for great dining experiences.
