“My favorite Thai restaurant currently in the greater Hartford area. The food reminds me of my mom's cooking. I make the trip from Hartford To New Britain whenever I want a piece of home. This small quaint restaurant packs a punch and doesn't hold back on flavor. While some places water down the flavor to cater to a broader audience Mai (the owner) chefs it up as if she is in her home kitchen cooking for family. You taste the loving in her cooking. There is limited seating but when you get the chance order a few dishes with friends or family and share the meal Thai style. You can always order in advance and pick up or utilize a delivery service. You won't be disappointed. Ask for Mai (pronounced May) and tell her Ty sent you. She will make sure you're taken care of.“

“Just had dinner here very early so we had the restaurant to ourselves. One owner served us, the other cooked. Both took time to say hello and speak with us. We were lucky to get one off-menu item and another special. As we ate, a steady stream of people came for takeout orders. A jewel.Vegetarian options: Excellent.“

“Oh my god. The food is so good. The parking is horrible however the food more than makes up for it. We had trouble getting here since they opened but finally could and I'm so mad we waited to come here so long. Being vegetarian it's hard to find good food that isn't boring. Problem forever solved here. Husband and I both got the vegetable Pad See Ew. It's amazing. I couldn't stop eating it and pretty much inhaled the food it's that good. The portions are generous and even with as much as I ate I slowed down and had to bring some home. As for the restaurant itself, at the time we went it's very sensory friendly for autistic people like me. The music is nice and muted. The colors are dark and comfortable. The chairs are comfy. The lighting it dim and warm. No real sounds from the kitchen. Of course we went and were the only people there because we eat early, but it was perfect for me and for us in general. Definitely will be back. So many good things to try!“

“We absolutely love this restaurant. We have been going here since opening day. It is our favorite thai restaurant hands-down. The owner is so friendly and the atmosphere is calming. You need to check this place out! My favorite is the drunken noodle and shrimp summer rolls.“

“Take-out food recommendation! Hot Basil Thai Food, 565 New Park Ave, West Hartford. Ordered three dishes at 2:15pm today for pick-up. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, but the price SHOCKED me at how low it was. I guess the lunch menu prices is reduced. I will be doing this again, frequently. I've eaten there for dinner several times per year for years and never regretted it, but this blew me away, both the quality and price. Let's be sure to keep them in business with take-out orders!“

“Such a great place to eat! I’ve gone there countless times, and have also gotten takeout/door dash. Their white and green curry is the best I’ve ever had, and other friends stand by this as well. Their pad Thai lunch specials make appetizers and drinks super affordable, so be sure to take advantage when you can. I love love love Prai.“

“This Place is Amazing! So elegant and nice and the cost is more than reasonable. The service is very attentive and quick. I placed an order for the Shrimp Summer Roles and a Rare Beef Pho. Then I decided to order a bubble tea. Very surprised. Its so much better than ones I got in the past. LOVE this place and hope it does well!“
“We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! Started with crab Rangoon, fresh rolls and dumplings. All delicious! Dinners were pork pad Thai, beef pad Thai, fried rice and a most interesting chicken salad. Everything was delicious with most delicate flavors. We were pretty full but needed to try the mango sticky rice and it did not disappoint! Mango was do fresh and the contrasting warm rice was devine. Best Thai food out in a long time.“

“The most important thing to know is that they can accomidate vegan options. For everyone else this is a key point meaning that everything is fresh cooked and customizable. Even the sauces which is not common for thai places. This isn’t marked on the menu so you won’t know unless you ask. The parking is a little odd and tight so you might prefer to street park. The bottomline is that most people would enjoy an experience here.Vegetarian options: Most of the menu can be made vegan on request.“
“We ordered online and picked up the food. The amount of food was plentiful; they weren't stingy. The side of white rice was the only thing that was small. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered chicken lo mein, orange chicken, general tso chicken, and crab rangoons. I've never seen freshly cut oranges in the orange chicken; it was good! My only complaint was it was super saucy, the chicken was bathing in it. I had a taste of the general tso and I like that it little bit more because it had a spicy kick to it. Now for the showstoppers! The chicken lo mein was probably one of the best lo meins I've had, it was flavorful and I found myself just eating more of that than the other dishes. The crab rangoons were also one of the best I've had. Usually at other Chinese restaurants, they skimp on the filling, the filling is bland, and the wonton is too chewy. These crab rangoons were the complete opposite. I love them! Overall, I am a fan of this place and will be ordering from them again.“

“Recent visited the blue elephant trail for a work dinner, accommodations were suitable for a group. Dining setting was a little bleak, atmosphere was somewhat relaxing but missed that specific ambiance to really make the experience pop. Menu was filled with a variety of Thai foods which was very satisfying to see, select dishes were very flavorful and as described. Foods appearance was exquisitely presented very saporous at that. The server was very polite, attentive and at times seemed a little nervous but overall friendly experience.Would recommend different setting style for a group/party for dine in experience. In conclusion the experience was very good would recommend for a good Thai food selection.“

“Came here on the day after Thanksgiving with a party of 7. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and entrees and shared everything. Everything was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and great, and they answered my folks' questions and offered great suggestions. I can't think of anything that could be improved!“
