“Impossible to describe how incredible this tasted. My goodness I ate so much my tummy hurt. I couldn’t stop. What a surprise for my taste buds. The chocolate (and chocolate chunk?) was out of this world. Went back for the coffee ice cream the next day. Buts it’s not just the ice cream. The cheeses. The Swiss like cheese ( crybaby ) ? Unbelievable. We had to others on a board from their restaurant next store and came back to bring some home. Finally the butter. They got everything right. Both days the counter help was great thank you for helping us remember what we had and liked.”

Everything we have tried there has been amazing, but let’s talk about those cinnamon rolls… I dare you to try them! If you are more adventurous, try the cinnamon roll breakfast sandwich, that is the ultimate in goodness! You’ll find good workers, a friendly atmosphere and the display case is always filled with a variety of baked, homemade goodness. Oh, the dirty sodas… so freakin good! Go! Sample it all!”

“Went on Friday night and enjoyed an amazing dinner. One of the friends with us is Vegan and it was so nice to have vegan options for her as well. Service was fantastic, never waited on anything. A special touch is the owner visits each table to ensure we are enjoying ourselves and the food. “Outstanding restaurant! (and we do a lot of our dining in NYC!) Local 63 is an oasis in Watertown, CT in a variety of ways. The food is creative (even when the dish SOUNDS traditional). The chicken fried steak (hard to even find in New England) is outstanding. The salads were awesome: perfectly dressed with great crunch and freshness. The Cassoulet (originally a French farmhouse dish) with chicken, in-house sausage, and white beans cooked to perfection is something you will not find in many other places. Great bar--friendly atmosphere and great for large groups and celebrations. This is a hidden gem with excellent service and owners who obviously care! I will go back and bring many other guests here when I have a chance.”

“We had a wonderful experience at George’s today. At a party of 6 adults, and 2 toddlers, we were very happy to sit down soon after arriving. We had a knowledgeable waitress who accommodated our special dietary needs. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all of our group. We would highly recommend this super, hometown feel, very professional restaurant for everyone! (And I totally felt comfortable eating their gluten free options)”
