“EXCELLENT SERVICE ABOVE AND BEYOND! Kudos to our server on Sunday, 6/22 and Carlos in the kitchen!! (Sorry I forgot our servers name but she was a tall blonde) I brought my friend’s son who has special needs there because he said it was “national onion ring day” and he wanted onion rings. Our server was so sweet because they don’t have onion rings on the menu, but she went in the kitchen to ask if there was any way my friend could have onion rings. A few minutes later, Carlos came out with a plate of onion rings for my friend who celebrated and said they were so delicious! What exceptional staff both our server and Carlos were to make my special friend’s day! THANK YOU! Highly recommend Hop Haus in Berlin!“

“Had the best time and food! Our first time here and we sat at the bar. Drink special Simple Plan was tasty with a spicy finish so just right! We loved Tuna Tartare. Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. So we are looking forward to coming back.“

This is our second visit here and we are absolutely in love with this restaurant. “I used to love coming here pre pandemic! I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“We did some shopping then we're going to check out the Duham Fair. but we were late and didn't want to take the bus ride for 30 minutes left of the Fair. so we looked for somewhere to eat. what luck! We had a fabulous experience! A couple great drinks. Some delicious garlic bread. Then dinner came. my eggplant rolatini was amazing! my wife dish was as well. we had the pistachio Gelato for dessert. and I had a delicious espresso. The service? it was a delight! “When I asked at work where I should take my family for some authentic Pho, I was told to hit MECHA. we went today and it was superb! The staff were excellent and everything we got was top tier. The edamame, and mushroom dumplings were awesome appetizers and the Pho was awesome. I had the Pho King with the recommended greens and Thai chilis and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. The limeade was soooo good. I can't wait to go back!“

On occasion they have bands on the weekends but not quite as often as they used to. The staff had a lot of customers to serve for the seating and the provided outstanding service. The restaurant manager was personally greeting customers and ensuring they were happy with their meals. “Went for dinner with family and was pleasantly surprised by the food. When we first walked in I was a little hesitant because it looked more like a bar than a restaurant. But once the food came, the doubts disappeared. We had ceviche, empanadas, lomo saltado, chaufuan with seafood and tostones. Everything was delicious. The chef definitely knows how to cook well. The service was good too, our server was Alonna. We will be back next time we are in Middletown.“

“We went to Wethersfield location for my Grandson's Birthday. I loved the sauce. Although they stated it had minimal cheese, I would have liked just a little bit more. I would definitely go back and recommend it. I like the way it was served and the way it was sliced. I liked the big, clean open space.“

“The Elbow Room is an awesome venue, the food and drinks they have are great and reasonably priced, I'm a big fan of their wings and tacos. I go to the open mic comedy nights on Thursdays, and I throw fun comedy shows/parties in the basement around once a month on Fridays with about 50 people, and everyone always hangs out on the rooftop after now that the weather is warmer. The Elbow Room is a staple of West Hartford and almost everyone knows about it.“
