(Sorry I forgot our servers name but she was a tall blonde) I brought my friend’s son who has special needs there because he said it was “national onion ring day” and he wanted onion rings. Our server was so sweet because they don’t have onion rings on the menu, but she went in the kitchen to ask if there was any way my friend could have onion rings. A few minutes later, Carlos came out with a plate of onion rings for my friend who celebrated and said they were so delicious! What exceptional staff both our server and Carlos were to make my special friend’s day! THANK YOU! Highly recommend Hop Haus in Berlin!“

“Had the best time and food! Our first time here and we sat at the bar. Drink special Simple Plan was tasty with a spicy finish so just right! We loved Tuna Tartare. Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. So we are looking forward to coming back.“

“I’ve now been to Casadoro three times, and this latest visit was hands-down the best yet! This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Italian-American comfort food with a fresh twist. Great happy hour.The new bean and garlic dip is an absolute standout—creamy, garlicky, and loaded with herb flavor. Paired with their warm, homemade bread. We also got the Bianca pizza with shallots. The sweet caramelized shallots combined with the creamy base and crispy crust made it incredibly tasty and unique. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Casadoro nails that cozy yet elevated vibe, and the food quality keeps impressing me more each time. Highly recommend for date nights, happy hour hangs, or just a delicious Italian meal. “*update: Bar Experience. The bar was very well equipped, the bartender ( Alex) was very attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. Carlos made sure everyone was tended and had what they needed. Great teamwork behind the bar. The food Experience at the bar matched that of the dining room experience. The bar and restaurant was busy but Alex, Carlos and all of the staff hustled and the food was hot, tasted wonderful and of course left me wanting desert. If you have not visited this establishment, you are missing out. Everything from their service, their extensive drink menu, their delicious "tapas", their creative specials, their daily menu to their tray of deserts is an experience. This is our second visit here and we are absolutely in love with this restaurant. From its eclectic decor, super attentive staff to its fabulously fantastic tasting tapas and entrees....where do I truly begin. The owners ( Rob, is always stopping by to say hello and check in) are visible and make you feel welcomed, my waitress Alyssa was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. “I used to love coming here pre pandemic! I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“We did some shopping then we're going to check out the Duham Fair. but we were late and didn't want to take the bus ride for 30 minutes left of the Fair. so we looked for somewhere to eat. what luck! We had a fabulous experience! A couple great drinks. Some delicious garlic bread. Then dinner came. my eggplant rolatini was amazing! my wife dish was as well. we had the pistachio Gelato for dessert. and I had a delicious espresso. The service? it was a delight! “This place is a real gem! If I could rate it any higher, I would. The service is impeccable and the waiters/waitresses really know what they’re doing. All of the food is very well-seasoned, which is uncharacteristic of most American cuisine. The prices were great for food quality that can be compared to fine dining. The portions are also very generous.

I had a chocolate raspberry martini, and the bartender tailored it exactly to my liking. We also had the Calamari piccata, and it was delish. The paella is Portuguese style, and it was delectable and flavorful. It reminded us of our fond trip to Portugal. The baked stuffed sole was great too. The tortellini rose reminded me of a fine Italian restaurant I have been to in the past.

Wish we could have had dessert, but we were too stuffed! The specialty desserts are truly unique.“

“When I asked at work where I should take my family for some authentic Pho, I was told to hit MECHA. we went today and it was superb! The staff were excellent and everything we got was top tier. The edamame, and mushroom dumplings were awesome appetizers and the Pho was awesome. I had the Pho King with the recommended greens and Thai chilis and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. The limeade was soooo good. I can't wait to go back!“

On occasion they have bands on the weekends but not quite as often as they used to. I've been going in there on and off well before this place was called Maloney's and I can say I have never seen a fight in there.“

The staff had a lot of customers to serve for the seating and the provided outstanding service. The restaurant manager was personally greeting customers and ensuring they were happy with their meals. I've been there three times now and every time was consistently good. I've had the calabrian stinger, the tomato pie, and the Firebird. I go to the open mic comedy nights on Thursdays, and I throw fun comedy shows/parties in the basement around once a month on Fridays with about 50 people, and everyone always hangs out on the rooftop after now that the weather is warmer. The Elbow Room is a staple of West Hartford and almost everyone knows about it.“
