“First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. SOB is the real deal, thanks again Michelle, BPT is lucky to have you!“

Being able to enjoy the meal right by the water made the experience even better and added a relaxed, laid-back vibe. The staff were welcoming and pleasant, which really added to the overall enjoyment. It was also nice to learn that they offer a cash discount and have a menu option specifically for seniors. All around, it was a great place to enjoy good food in a friendly, scenic setting.“

“Whoever talks trash about the workers is a trash themselves. These guys are amazing and very fast with orders. Sincerely some of us as customers can be frustrating while these hardworking guys are trying to serve us right. I’d say you should come at night esp the 2 black guys at night. “This place used to be my secret hideaway bc the girls who worked there were so good they knew your drink when you walked in. Now the staff is disconnected and barely talk ? but ok to go if you know how to make it and give them exact details. It's still a favorite when I don't want a line.“

“Went with my daughter ad we both ordered fish and chips. Order is picked up at counter. Fish and fries were both hot and crispy, with a large piece of cod. It was light and flaky. People at the counter were friendly and helpful. Sat on the dock area under a covering. Very nice experience.“

The young lady Zai at the drive thru is always so welcoming every time I pull up, she already knows my drink, which makes the whole experience feel personal and special. “I don't normally frequent downtown Bridgeport, but when I had jury duty a couple years ago I stopped here for a bagel. The other day I had to get my nephew to school so I remembered this place was good. I asked if they had anything on the menu with no meat (he's vegetarian) and there was one thing, so we got that for hom to bring to lunch. It was cream cheese, veggies, looked pretty good. No complaints. Also got a muffin for breakfast. About 9 bucks. The place was fairly clean, not that busy when we got there, only 1 other patron. If I had reasons to be downtown, This would be my spot over the Dunkin donuts. It's pretty cozy inside. Im sure it gets busy once city hall opens, but this early (7am) it was pretty nice. I've never had a bad bal at bagel king. Wish I had pictures! Guess I have a reason to go back!“

“The Dunkin' Donuts is my favorite place to get the cold brew with sweet cold foam. Everything is usually good from there, but the same order doesn't always taste the same. I assume this is because someone different is making it. So, to avoid this, there should be instructions to make every type of drink or anything else taste the same no matter who makes it. Overall though, the food and drinks are good and I go there at least twice a week after work. (I work third shift. So, I get out at the perfect time to get breakfast)(Not that Dunkin' in the afternoon or at night is weird)“
