“The food was absolutely delicious! We had Calamari, Veal Romano and Chicken Parm. All three dishes were some of the best Italian food I have ever had. The service was excellent. There was not one negative thing at our visit.“

- Service did not match the atmosphere and the price point.

The service however was a huge disappointment. After providing my name for the reservation, the host walked about 8 steps and then without speaking pointed to the table across the room where we were apparently supposed to sit. I asked for clarification, and he then muttered in annoyance that one by the window….

Next up, we were asked if we want still or sparkling water, I asked for a bottle of still.
We received tap water. I again asked for a bottle of still, we then received lime flavored tap water. Finally our server stepped in and clarified they do not have bottled still water, only filtered…
I do want to mention besides the host no one was rude, but the service in general just didn’t seem to keep up.“

“Amazingly good food! My husband and I were in Norwalk, CT for a wedding and the following day we were looking for a "brunch" place before heading back to Middletown, CT. Did a Google search and saw the reviews for Herb's Place. While it wasn't the sit down we were thinking of, I'm really glad we went. The food was SO good! We'll definitely go back if we're ever in that area again.“

The quesabirria is to die for, along with the green sauce that comes with it! “Quaint, comfortable nautical themed dining room (larger than expected) with fireplace. Boasts a sophisticated "American" menu (lots of seafood, (sushi too!) pasta, salads, sandwiches) with something for everyone. Large selection of wines at every price level. Staff works well together. Nice bar area with several high tops if you want to be a little more casual, and keep an eye on a sports game Our food was great. Will come again.“
