“First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. “This was our first time at this location. We have gone to the original place a few times. We always look forward to enjoying their gelato when we visit our son. Today, I ordered two flavors: chocolate al latte and raspberry. The chocolate was creamy and delicious. The raspberry was just right. My wife had the mango and black cherry in a cone, which she loved. My son had the tiramisu. He said it was great. We love it here and can't wait to come back!“

“We’ve been going here for about 4 years and are never disappointed. My husband and I love their Spanish options (best huevos rancheros I’ve been able to find outside of New York), but they also have eggs, pancakes, and other “classic” items. And this is just their breakfast menu! Their lunch items are just as delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, service is fast even on a busy day, we LOVE all of the sauces on every table, it’s always clean, and they add new dishes pretty often to keep their menu fresh. Can’t say enough good things about them!“

“We had a great time here. This place set a high bar for what a sports bar could be. It was spacious, with plenty of TVs and entertainment, including foosball, billiards, arcade games, and more. The comfortable seating made it easy to relax, watch a game, or spend time with a group.

The beer selection was extensive, although the cocktail list was fairly limited. We especially loved the impressive row of taps behind the bar, which immediately put us in the right mood.

What truly stood out was the incredibly friendly and helpful service. The staff made our day and created a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

The biggest surprise was the food. For a sports bar, the menu was impressively varied, with plenty of options for everyone, including an excellent vegetarian selection. The absolute standout was the Hot Honey Crunch Cauliflower. It was phenomenal, perfectly crispy, and served with a fantastic spicy aioli. The falafel tacos were also creative, fresh, and very well executed. Even the classic favorites, including the chicken wings, loaded fries, and pretzels, were prepared with care and tasted great.“

Then I ventured out onto the deck and the views are so pretty at sunset. There was a live band outside and a large selection of food. “My family of 7 stopped at Boss Burger on whine during a long drive home to the Boston area. We wanted an alternative to our usual fast food chain stop along the way and my wife found this place. The food was freshly prepared and reasonably priced. We bought two wraps, some hot dogs and nuggets for the kids, and a Philly steak with chicken instead of steak. Everyone was happy and enjoyed their food. We even took a few brownies to go. They have a large selection of small bags of chips and bottled beverages.

“I love coming to this bubble tea place at Trumbull mall (diagonal from Cheesecake Factory). Not only they make “perfect” bubble tea (not too sweet), but the associates are super nice, polite, friendly, helpful, efficient and always serves with a smile. “I was craving a burrito. Not a chipotle burrito where they skimp on the ingredients, But a big voluptuous, tasty Burrito. Look no further. Despite the location being empty, it provided me the opportunity to witness manager and the staff who were training A new hire at the time provide exceptional service. Yeah, it’s just a chain restaurant, but the quality of the food and service was Exceptional. I Ordered the surf and turf burrito with white rice, black beans, guacamole, sour cream, and spicy salsa. I got this order to go in. The checkout process was straight Forward. The burrito with chips and queso as well as a large fountain drink came to about $27 with a 15% tip. Totally worth it. I had to double fist this thing because it was so big and delicious. I don’t live in Norwalk, but that was the closest location and most convenient at the time. Making it a meal- I added chips and spicy queso and a large soda. The chips were not stale and slightly salted, which vibed well with the queso. The Diablo queso wasn’t as spicy as advertised, but that’s OK. It served its purpose in between gigantic bites of the burrito. I was on my way home to Danbury and that Damn burrito was still warm after a 40 minute drive in traffic. Admittedly, The portion of meat, i.e. steak and shrimp could be a little more generous, but the overall quality and flavor of the combination I ordered was “peak.” I fully anticipate going back to this location to order the same thing.
Hopefully, the Qdoba executives of the world see this and acknowledge what a complementary review this is for this location and the staff that helped me there. Not trying to pull any favors, but a random acknowledgment of their promising success would be powerful. I will see you soon.“
