“This is located inside the Double Tree Hotel. The decor is very inviting. There are several televisions to watch sports along with comfy seating. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. The server was very informative and extremely friendly.”

We ordered stuffed shells, eggplant parmesan and spinach with mozzarella, pepperoni and eggplant strombolies! The strombolies were filled from top to bottom. To say they We were pleased would be an understatement! We are most certainly looking forward to having next year's dinner from Tommy's Place. And trying other food as well Thanks for an outstanding Christmas dinner!!!”

We had trouble getting here since they opened but finally could and I'm so mad we waited to come here so long. Being vegetarian it's hard to find good food that isn't boring. Problem forever solved here. Husband and I both got the vegetable Pad See Ew. It's amazing. I couldn't stop eating it and pretty much inhaled the food it's that good. The portions are generous and even with as much as I ate I slowed down and had to bring some home. As for the restaurant itself, at the time we went it's very sensory friendly for autistic people like me. The music is nice and muted. The colors are dark and comfortable. The chairs are comfy. The lighting it dim and warm. No real sounds from the kitchen. Of course we went and were the only people there because we eat early, but it was perfect for me and for us in general. Definitely will be back. So many good things to try!”

“As an event coordinator for our program, I had the pleasure of working with Milton from Jamaican Kitchen to cater a meeting we hosted in December for 55 attendees in Hamden. Although the nearest Jamaican Kitchen location was in Bristol, Milton kindly agreed to deliver the order to Hamden, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Having previously enjoyed their delicious food for a smaller group at the Hartford location, I knew Jamaican Kitchen would be an excellent choice. Milton was instrumental in helping me design a menu that fit within our budget while addressing the dietary restrictions of some attendees. The menu included rice and beans, steamed cabbage salad, sweet plantains, mini cocktail chicken and beef patties, jerk chicken, and vegetarian stew. Milton delivered the meal ahead of schedule, and everything arrived warm, neatly packaged, and clearly labeled—making service seamless. His professionalism, positive attitude, and responsiveness to my various inquiries made the entire experience stress-free. The attendees were thrilled with the meal, with particular praise for the cocktail patties. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine, exceptional service, and a reliable caterer, I highly recommend Milton and Jamaican Kitchen.”

“The original owners have finally retired!!! Good for them. I personally will miss them...
They sold the place with the same pizza recipe. I wasnt sure at first if it be even close to the original recipe, to be honest, it better only cause i noticed they add a bit more cheese then the previous owners and it taste the same . I always had to tell them add extra cheese so if you like cheese like i do, youll notice it there. i get meatballs & onions on my pizza. But what ever you like on your pizza im sure you will agree with me, that they adda bit more of toppings then previous owners. I cant say anything yet about the other dishes and grinders. Im willing to bet it s just as good if not better. No offence to the original owners, God only knows how hard they work over 43 years. Its time you enjoy your life and let the new owners take over. One other big change is there open 6 days a week.Closed on Monday. Plus the prices hasnt changed either. I wouldnt be offended if they do go up a little on thier prices . Cause the pizza has more to it and lastly as i said before.... Its Still, The

“My son and I are new to the area and we have tried several other Asian restaurants in the area and we were extremely disappointed with all of them! Until we found The Asian Bistro. From the person who took my order to the quality of the food they are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!!! I have never been more satisfied with a take out restaurant and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!! This has to be the #1 place for Asian food from their appetizers to their Ramen dishes they are amazing and if you haven’t tried them you absolutely should!!!”

“Take the chain Cava and fine tune it for a single store that really cares about the food it makes. Add cooler staff and more options. That’s this place.

Mostly Mediterranean ish fast casual with tons of options for proteins and toppings, and anything can be made into a gyro on a pita. The possibilities with that seem cool, they seriously had 30+ different toppings, pasta salads, veggies, that could all go on the items. Would dig seeing them hash out a list of preset bowls and gyros with different flavors too.

They seem to make a few fresh specialties that change each day too, will have to go back for it. Today was white wine garlic chicken with carrots and scallions, looked good.

Genuinely highly recommend this spot, a place with this level of quality deserves to thrive here as long as they maintain that standard or elevate ir. Such a gem and the food was pretty well priced for the quality. Will be back many many times.”

I was so upset. I will never forget that. The owner must think he is better than the people who keep him in business if thats the way he treats us. I live 45 minutes away, but visit when I’m in town. I went Monday. Big George was there! I wanted him to help me, but he didn’t. This is a family place. Great food and people. “Ask anyone in Bristol whether in person or on various social media pages, they’ll say Sun Fat Chinese is one of the best in the area. By the looks of it, at any given day..it’s always busy, so it’s by far the most popular Chinese restaurant in the area…I won’t say the best.
Quick Note - Pretty much all the Chinese restaurants in this area all charge the same and the meals are the same..look at the menu, select food, pay and wait for it. The ones up here also give you a choice of egg roll or soup to go with your lunch order..that’s not just here, but ALL of the restaurants here in the Bristol/Plainville area.
Food - I’ve been here on a couple of times and have tried various items from the pepper steak to the chicken and broccoli to the sesame chicken. It’s all your standard Chinese food restaurant..I don’t see where it is that far ahead of all the rest. Sesame Chicken was good…but not fantastic. You get a heaping portion of it but a ton of rice as well. The egg roll is sometimes soft, other times hard enough to go through a brick wall.
Parking - It’s in the strip mall next to Subway in the MarketEdge/Price Chopper on Farmington Ave/Route 6/72.
I’m giving it 4* total for a couple reasons…first being, no..I didn’t do a phone order..I never do on anything, it’s always as a walk-in. Got there at 2:55, went to order the lunch and was told “it ends at 3.”…I know, it’s not 3pm yet..I’m not one to argue so I said it is whatever and just give me the regular portion then…so because of that and the egg roll being rock hard, I’d give it on a 1-5…3.8-4.1”
