“What a hidden gem! Portobello is our new favorite in Brookfield. I can definitely see why they were voted the number 1 pizza in town! The clams oreganata were such a delicious appetizer, and all of the food was just fantastic. Great presentations and quality homemade food, with a creative list of cocktails too! Friendly staff in a clean, welcoming environment. We’ll be back!“
“The pub also has a wide selection of beers on tap, including Irish favorites and they also a variety of American beers available, as well as wines and cocktails.O'Connor's Public House is a great place to go for a casual meal with friends or family. It's also a popular spot for live music, so be sure to check the schedule before you go.“
“The Women's Club of Brookfield went to Happy Hour we had a group of 12. The service was outstanding. the menu for happy hour offered a wide variety something for everyone. The food was delicious. We did wish they allowed our group one big table as we were split into two table we could not all socialize properly. It is after all the reason we get together. We'd like to go back if this could be corrected. Overall a great value“
“When Good Eats opened I was so excited to have a great restaurant local. They have exceeded my expectations every time I've been there. The food is excellent and craft cocktails even better! I have tended bar on and off for a long time so a great drink is super important to me! and I LOVE the creativity of the food menu!“
“Pretty good bar for cocktails in Newtown center. The cocktails were creative- I got the non regurts which had a yogurt base. While the cocktail was very good, it still had a very strong mezcal taste. I'm not a huge mezcal fan and wouldn't have gotten this but the waitress promised that the other ingredients in the drink would mask the smokey taste, it did not. I then went back to my go to cocktail and ordered a dirty martini. The waitress explained that they took their house marinated olives and muddled it in so you get an extra dirty martini and she was right on this one, I enjoyed very much. Overall, a very nice place to drink on a Saturday night especially because they have live music after 8p!“
“Had a lovely time at Dragonfly on Thursday night. Food was hot when served, dinner was definitely worth the price. The vibe was very intimate and romantic with ambiance / twinkle lighting. Our server Ryan was very helpful being it was our first time here. We came just for the Periogies and they are a must try! Will also recommend the pistachio martini if you have a sweet tooth for desert. Will be coming back !“
“I’m trying to put into words how absolutely incredible brunch at @jlawrencect was. If I had to rate from 0 - 10, I’d give it a 10 without any hesitation. @jlawrencect just recently opened so their space is brand new and beautifully decorated! The drinks were perfectly made, the food was delicious (seriously the tastiest brunch food I’ve had yet!) and the staff made our experience and time there wonderful! My top picks Drink - J. Law Mimosa Starter - Shareable warm donuts Entree - Main Lobster Egg Benny (with home fries) Dessert - Cookie dough with ice cream Definitely make sure to visit them. Perfect Sunday brunch with friends and or family ❤️“
“A number of months ago during a visit to New Milford, my wife and I had dinner at Vegas Mexican Kitchen. At that time, we were very much impressed with our entire meal. From the appetizer, to the entree and dessert, the food was excellent. It was a welcome experience.Flash forward to this past Wednesday. On a return trip to the area we decided Vegas Mexican Kitchen would be our choice for first night dinner. We were very pleased to find our dining experience was as exceptional as the first visit.Having traveled a bit we realize good authentic Mexican cuisine is hard to find, especially in New England. We have to say this is the best Mexican restaurant we have been to in a very long time.Every item we had tasted fresh, was not overly spiced and the portions were plentiful. The sauces were thick and had the proper flavor from what we would consider central Mexico. From the kitchen staff to the servers, they made our meal a delightful experience. If you want good traditional Mexican, The Vegas Mexican Kitchen is the place to go.Sigan con el buen trabajo. Nos vemos en el viaje de regreso.“
“Go eat here immediately. What a fabulous restaurant. With a cocktail and dining menu that is unique and perfectly prepared. The service was warm and gracious. And the atmosphere was inviting and allowed good conversation (not only with my table, but with other guests). A gem!“
“Everything really was great from start to finish. The staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. The cocktails were delicious and so were both meals. Highly recommend the Greca paella and if they have the skirt steak on the special list, get it!“
“We were hearing lots of great things about Casa Oaxaca. We stopped in on a Taco Tuesday. Plenty of parking in the lot. Really great decor. Plenty of seating on both sides of the restaurant including a nice bar area. There’s also a tv in the bar area for sporting events. Very clean restaurant and a great staff. When we were leaving, I noticed the tortillas being made fresh in the front of the restaurant. Made the experience even better. The food is amazing. They start you off with chips and salsa. We came during happy hour on a Taco Tuesday. We wanted to get a little of everything to try. Everything had great flavors. My favorite taco we had were the Carnitas. Really delicious chimichangas with a fresh guacamole. The empanadas were fried perfectly. The were filled to capacity. It was not like other places that put a little meat in the middle and it’s mostly shell. To end the night we ordered churros. Freshly fried with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Really finished off the great experience. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon.“
“Awesome food and great craft beer list. Very knowledgeable staff about craft beers and wine. Great food and and a great value. Very cute, friendly waitreses. Truly great beer selection, not just the usual 5 different hazy NE IPA most places put up as their craft beer. There was 1 Belgian, 2 Germans, a bourbon barrel aged beer, as well as few Excellent Local beers. Do yourself a flavor, go for the beer and stay for the delicious food.Highly recommended!“
“The Barnwood is our go to for occasions as well just to eat out. The wait staff are very good . Our orders always arrive promptly, and as ordered. In addition to a well rounded menu there always are wonderful specials. We have never had a meal that we didn't like. The chef is inventive and steps outside of the ordinary with fish and meat selections. The only negative is that the acoustics are dreadful making it noisy when the restaurant fills up.Also the tables for two are small.“
“Exceeds the hype! Inviting, warm, lively atmosphere. Food, service…service or food; can’t decide which is better. Table of 7, busy night, food came out just right and with every accommodation perfectly met. All ages in our party and everyone agreed, “best pizza ever!” Our server Louis was unbelievable and made a stressful day a distant memory. Definitely go!“
“Always an amazing time spent at Spice. The owner is so personable. You feel at home. The Purri and Naan are amazing. Every dish is breath taking and spice is definitely present. The symphony of flavors is delectable!!! The samosas are great and the vegetarian dishes delightful. The ginger martini is worth a try...“
“Clean, open, and fun place for dinner. I love that they give you complimentary bread and they had some fun drink specials for St. Patrick's day. The nachos were definitely loaded. I would prefer the guac to come on the side not already put on top as the extras I took home didn't last well. The shepherds pie was very tasty!“
“A bit of a drive for me, but well worth it. The food was good, drinks were flowing. The restaurant was nicely decorated inside. Bathrooms were clean (always a plus). Waitstaff was pleasant. Order the Brisas Old Fasioned for the tableside presentation. Tacos pescado were crispy and flaky, pickled onions added the perfect amout of acid. Using plantains as the "bun" for the juicy beef sliders was a unique take on a pub favorite. Chips and quac didn't disappoint. Will visit again. Well worth the hour long drive in the cold rain.Parking: More spaces on the side and behind the restaurant.“
