“Great place to stop in to when you’re craving a a simple deli-style sandwich. Nothing too fancy but hit the spot I needed it to. Got the Italian combo on white bread, added pickles and dressing on the side, and ate the whole sandwich. They have a nice sized menu, a couple sides in the to-go cooler, a good variety in the beverage cooler and the staff were attentive and kind. Outdoor seating is always a plus. Will definitely be a return customer if I’m in the area.“

“Annmarie has been running this place literally since I was born. I have been coming here as long as my conscious memory can recall. Way back in the day, they were in the building where the bank is now, on the corner, and eating a turkey sandwich on rye there is one of my earliest memories.

I no longer live in town, but whenever I’m back, I’m going to Pete’s. I usually do two breakfast sandwiches - a ham egg & cheese, and a sausage egg & cheese. For lunch, either the Gold Rush (roast beef) or the Ravishing Rick’s (turkey) will heal you.

Overall it's efficiently run and better than any chain place quality n quantity is a big difference spend the Xtra few dollars 100%worth it!! It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.“
