If you can get there and order before six, La Trattoria will make you an offer you can't refuse -a 3 course meal for about $21. I had a conference call at 8 tonight and I needed some time to prep, so we wanted to get an early dinner somewhere and avoid racing home to beat the clock. I just heard this marvelous restaurant has closed its doors recently, after almost 50 years now, for the Bettera family. What a heartbreak. Elegant, special, delicious, a place for special occasions. This is MOST sad....
