“Just had dinner at Sakana. The food and drinks are always delicious, fresh, and fast! Our waitresss was also amazing - very thoughtful, anticipating needs without needing to be asked and so kind to our kiddo- even giving some kids chopsticks to take home. Highly recommend if you haven’t been already!“

“Great mom and pop poke, sushi, boba, teriyaki and more! Food is consistently good and they have a great variety of items to choose from. We always get ours to-go, but the restaurant has a decent amount of inside tables to eat that are clean. Nice cool air conditioning for a hot day. They also have tables outside. Our go-to spot for poke in Hamden.“

“This place is a 10/10 for a sushi lunch. My husband and I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed martinis and shared 3 lunch entrees for around $50. Our chef and server were both attentive and friendly. The bar has good chill date vibes. There were some patrons having hibachi on the other side of the restaurant and it sounded like a good time.“

“I recommend everything! My first time there and my experience was out of this world! Incredible food amazing atmosphere and very friendly service. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so they recommended something based on what I told them I liked and they were correct about it! “The food soothes the pallet, and the atmosphere is great! The Home made duck sauce was the best I've had, shumai was tender, and crab ragoons were the freshest. The shrimp fried rice and pineapple fried rice are very good. I always keep a look out for who has the best orange chicken, and this place has it. Everything is well kept and clean, as well as the bathrooms. The hostess is exceptionally accommodating.“

The fried rice is a standout- savory, buttery, and made even better with the sauces they use on the grill. Portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth.
