“Pretty chill spot and the food is good. The environment is homey. Good deal compared to other spots that will charge a pretty penny for less. They make do with what they have. The only reason it is not 5 stars is cause a Chimichanga should be fried. I don't think it was. Other than that, amazing!“

“First time I went here I ordered a beef burrito. It was very large- but loaded with more beans and rice. I got bloated and uncomfortable.This time I went I asked for less beans and more beef - and that I need more protein (I’m pregnant, so baby will thank me). They did exactly that - actually no beans. And it was perfect. The gentleman who had made the burrito had what I believe to be an authentic Spanish accent- the gentlemen on my first experience did not.I’m glad I gave this place a second chance ! On the pricier side, but so is everything now a days ..“

For diners familiar with the menus of the West Coast and urban Mexico, and in search of authentic cuisine, there is no degree of separation. The menu has most conventional staples and is full. There are some particulars. The rellenos are of the breaded variety, which is a matter of preference. The mole is excellent, but is restricted to a single dish. However, the chef will customize an order if it is absent from the menu. The margaritas are simply excellent.El Compa is family friendly. There is access and convenience for the disabled and small children. Again, there is willingness to customize food orders. For those disappointed in the available Mexican cuisine on the Connecticut shoreline, there is a first rate alternative.“

“Sue is Great! I was such a nitpicker on the phone ordering Tacos and she was extremely patient and servicial with me. Above & Beyond service. I recommend for any foodie. BUT it doesn’t stop there, upon arrival I was greeted with the best tacos in town. Mahi-Mahi, Cod, Shrimp & Salmon. All were delish and I do recommend.
