“The food was amazing! We tried the birria tacos, steak tacos, and guacamole with chips, it was all so flavorful and delicious! The meat portion in the tacos was more generous than other places we’ve tried.
The kid at the front was so kind and patient while I took forever deciding what I wanted (I wanted to try everything, and I’ll keep going back till I do). He was very polite with me and my kids, and then was being silly with the kids like a big brother, they loved it! He made the experience much more than just waiting for a takeout order. We will be back for sure!!“

“This place is amazing in all regards, it is our go-to dining out spot of choice. As others have noted, the birria is absolutely incredible. The detail that brings my family in consistently is that it is a standard meat you can order any of their many offerings with. Kudos for that idea ! Note: They are no longer at 50 Rapallo avenue. They moved right around the corner to a more visible location that will get more foot traffic passing by, I hope it works out well for them. I believe the attached map has the new location correctly shown, the posted address has not been updated. As of mid April 2026, they were closed to renovate the new location, I was told their projected re-opening was going to be in early - mid May. Good idea to call first. If the owners or any customers have an update on that, it would be great to post. My daughter and I are suffering from La Casa Mania birria withdrawals and need a fix soon !“

“First time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were very friendly. Many options to choose from. I ordered Alambre. It was a skillet meal with steak, peppers and onions smothered in cheese, served with rice and beans. With it came five mini tortillas. This meal was very flavorful and filling. Also ordered was a burrito filled with steak, rice, beans, pico de gallo and cheese. Prices are very reasonable, atmosphere is good and the service was excellent.“

But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

One hundred percent way better than the new haven trucks way better than any restaurant imitation mexican food!!! “The Whole Enchilada is a casual spot for fresh, delicious Mexican food. The service is quick and friendly. After ordering at the counter, you can take a seat in the dining room. I found it to be comfortable and nicely decorated. Everything about this place is clean and welcoming.

Now for the food… The fish tacos are perfect! The fish is seasoned and prepared beautifully, the slaw is crisp and fresh, the amount of avocado is generous, and the sauce is so smokey and flavorful. Yum!!! The guacamole is also a hit, and I heard the empanadas are an 8/10. I’d love to come back!“
