“I just purchased one of Faith's gluten free spinach coconut muffins at the Willi-Co-Op. Wow! I think it was the best gluten free muffin I have ever tried. The Co-Op carries about six different muffin flavors. I am looking forward to visiting Faith Café as soon as possible for lunch. Thank ”
“Michelle is absolutely stunning and Josh has such a hospitable personality! I absolutely love Thunderbird café! The food is delicious and it’s about half price anywhere else you can possibly go. There is no amount of stars that could show how satisfied I am!”
“Last week I was on my way from Danielson to Marlborough when I came across Motta's. I hadn't had my morning coffee and doughnuts so I stopped in. To this day I'll never eat a doughnut again. The variety of pastries is just too extensive to even list. I settled for a couple of cinnamon sticks and my partner grabbed a caramel cream filled horn and a Sfogliatelle. I picked up two small coffees and my mistake there was I should have upped to a medium. Delicious coffee, hot and a great accompaniment to the treats. Next week I'm coming for either the chocolate eclairs or the cannolis. I'd love the fresh fruit pies but I'm driving and I know I'd end up wearing it on the front of my shirt. I come from Eastern Connecticut and there's one Italian bakery in Norwich that is passable but other than that you have to head to Federal Hill in Providence for anything like Motta's.Five stars all the way around!!!”
“This is my wife's favorite Dunkin. I didn't know that Dunkin produces different quality of coffee at different locations but that's what she tells ”
“La neta, estos tacos rifan!I stopped here for dinner last night. It was not what I expected but there was something comforting about it. It transported me to my childhood and going to neighborhood food spots that were unassuming. The food was incredible!”
“Today was my first time here. I tried the classic sour dough, the jalapeño cheddar sour dough, the mint chocolate cupcake ,the maple bacon scone and the french onion baguette. All super fresh and very well made. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything we tried was delicious!”
“Everything that just happened in my mouth is absolutely amazing. My husband and I agree that these are the best tacos we’ve ever had. They also have homemade hot sauces. The smoked pineapple habanero is to die for! Even though it is 30 minutes from my house, I will be driving out here for these tacos on a regular basis. Thank you for existing!”
“Great food and drink! A wonderful addition to the Willimantic downtown area. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Nice ambience. Only critique - seating is not very comfortable. Barstools don’t make you want to sit and order a second drink, nor do the seats at tables. Hopefully they will invest in better seating as they get established.”
“If you like ice cream, this place is a real gem! Creamy and flavorful ice cream, beautiful and scenic view with the dairy farm right there. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had.”
“if you live near UCONN, then you need to check out gansett wraps on storrs roadthe owner khal is originally from lebanon and when he moved to the states, he knew he wanted to share his love for food with the community around himhe originally opened his first wrap shop in narragansett rhode island and now gansett wraps is in a few towns across connecticut and rhode islandfirst timers have to try the gyro falafelits a beef gyro, with housemade falafel, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce. the sauce is so savory and falafel which is a blend of chickpeas and spices added so much flavorother wraps can be stuffed with chicken, bacon, veggies and even french frieshome to where the husky womens basketball team gets their lunch, gansett wraps has to be added to your connecticut foodie bucket list❤️”
“What a wonderful stay! Great location for visiting UCONN campus with clean/fun-themed/comfortable rooms and warm, welcoming vibe. Staff was wonderful - especially Sarah, Chris and Shannon at the Trophy Room restaurant. We will definately be back!”
“This food is amazing! I'm blown away, it's like the aurora borealis of food. I got the queso birria and a horchata to drink. Everything was outstanding. Thank you so much! I can only imagine the amount of care that goes into making these meals”
“What a hidden gem! Place was fairly busy. The food was fresh and the ambience was amazing. Ended up splitting a bunch of different plates, seems like the place where you can’t go wrong with anything. As a local, will be back.”
“Louise and I set out to run some errands in Willi and then get some fast food, but as we approached those familiar arches the sense of impending dread in our souls welled up like an overflowing sewer. "Let's drive down Main Street and see what's open," my wife chimed, so off we went. A few minutes later we quickly spotted Pho Delight, circled around to park, and headed on in. The friendly staff greeted and seated up immediately. Their dining room and bar areas were tidy and comfortable with about a dozen tables, and they were doing a pretty decent business for a cold and rainy Wednesday night. The menu had a familiar mix of Thai dishes, along with a section of soups and various kinds of pho. We decided to keep things familiar for a first visit, ordering appetizers of spring rolls and coconut shrimp, and for entrees a bowl of beef pho and yellow chicken curry, all to share. The appetizers came out quickly and piping hot straight from the fryer. Spring rolls were crunchy with a fresh veggie filling, accompanied by the usual sweet-and-fishy dipping sauce. Coconut shrimp really smelled and tasted like fresh coconut and were also perfectly cooked with a clean shrimpiness; their dipping sauce was a sriracha-infused mayo. The pho was a generous bowl of broth, noodles, scallions, cilantro, and beef slices, with the customary accompaniments of basil, bean sprouts, sliced hot peppers, and a lime wedge. The yellow curry was a rich coconut-milk based sauce swimming with slices of chicken, onions, carrots, and potatoes, along with a side of jasmine rice. Both entrees were simply terrific, executed and seasoned perfectly with a clean, clear mouth feel. Chatting with our server we learned that the restaurant had been here for a few years, but very recently was sold to a new owner who redecorated the dining room and redesigned the menu. That owner, a young man named Sitta, introduced himself and told us of his upbringing in southern Thailand and subsequent graduate studies in China (he speaks English well, along with Mandarin and his native Thai). When I mentioned that it seemed out of place for a Thai restaurant to serve pho, he reassured us that pho is common street food in Thailand, and that their Thai version is generally simpler and has fewer ingredients than Vietnamese pho. I guess you learn something new every day -- in any case, the pho here is delicious and can compete with any similar soup I've ever had. All in all a great experience and we're going to have to dine here again and explore the menu more deeply. Highly recommended... I just hope that success doesn't overwhelm and spoil this little gem.”
“This spot has the best food in the area. We have been going for several years.everything we have tried has been amazing and the owner and staff are always super friendly. My personal favorite is the vegan bomb and my husband loves the beef shawarma!”
“Let me start by saying we live in Coventry and Kathmandu has delivered hot delicious food to our home time and time again! This evening my wife and I decided to dine in and the experience was better than expected! We had Samosas, Thai noodles, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Masala, and Naan. The service was friendly and attentive. The owner/chef came out to our table to ask how everything was. What I told him is what I'm telling all of you. This is the best Indian food I've had to date! I have a strong culinary background and highly recommend you put this place on a short list of great food destinations! In the past we've had curry lamb, tomato soup, tom yam soup, lolipop chicken, fried rice, and aloo paratha. Make your way through the whole menu, you won't be disappointed!”
“We love Parkside pizza. We have tried most of their menu and everything is delicious. We are regulars and food is always consistent and staff is awesome. Great place to eat in or get take out.Dietary restrictions: Have plenty of options for dairy free.”
“Excellent breakfast and brunch place. It is small, but it makes sense for a local spot in a small town.I've eaten here several times now and I am yet to be dissapointed. This time I had the French Toast special ? french toast was moist, stuffed with apples and topped with whipped cream and spinkled with cinnamon. Got a side of bacon to offset the sweetness of the french toast. It was the perfect breakfasts. My friends had Western omelets that are their go to here for breakfast”
“This place is amazing. Best burgers anywhere, bar none. Fries are creative, plentiful and delicious, and milkshakes are to die for. I've been twice, once in Avon and once in Cromwell, and was truly impressed both times. They serve Bell & Evans chicken and ground beef that's more commonly found in 4-star steakhouses. I love it!”
“Oz n Bones deserves 5 stars across the board for what it does so well, but on one level it did not meet my expectation, and that's because they do everything so well, let me explain. We went on a Saturday night and had never been there before. When dining on a weekend, we like to experience a dining experience in which we can linger and enjoy an entire dining event, lasting an hour or two. But the system here is so well orchestrated, you are in and out in the blink of an eye, which is a tribute to the operation, but does not make for a Saturday night date night.Upon entering I was surprised to see that it's set up like a fast food operation, order at the counter and head to your seat, and on the way stop and meet their friendly bartender and grab your drink, no appetizers are available. We did that, and by the time we got our drink quickly, and arrived at a table, our meal was waiting for us. So, no time for dinner conversation while we enjoyed our drink. No sense letting the food get cold, so we dig in, drink our adult beverages while we eat, and we're done in about 30 minutes, very efficient. The food is fabulous, the staff is amazing, the service is efficient, and the setting is beautiful. Will I go back again and recommend it for what it is, absolutely. But, not on a weekend when I seek a nice full dining experience, if we were meeting another couple, we would have no time for conversation. It is reasonably priced, but as we did spend about $80 for 2 meals with one drink each, and were out of there in 30 minutes. For that amount we could go to another restaurant for a more traditional weekend dining experience, and not have to clear our own table when done.I love this place, and look forward to going back when I am looking for a quick bite to eat.”
“I ordered a dish on the evening special menu, Amatriciana. It was, hands down, the BEST pasta dish I have had in ages! I cook good pasta at home, I am hard to impress in this area, absolutely phenomenal meal, thank you!”
“This is our go- to pizza, it is the best! But what is awesome is that all their food, burgers, roast beef sandwiches, dinners, specials and catering are fabulous! So many options, and the family and service are amazing. Right next to DMV with the retro neon green arrow!”
“Not a mistake selecting Spice Venue, extremly happy after dining with classic food and well behaved service. It was my first visit here with family and we all wanted to spend the evening with Tandoor specials, we ordered grilled fish, tandoori chicken, Palak Paneer, Naan and Lassi.Everything we have ordered was truly best in taste and freshness. The gentleman assisting us during dining was polite and a funny guy.Good experience with them and I don't mind to recommend.”
“Great little roadside lunch and breakfast place. Nothing to look at but good basic breakfast and lunch stuff. A few picnic tables to sit at. Pretty busy when I stopped. Food was great, glad I stopped”
“Always welcoming and quick even for being constantly busy from the Uconn crowd. Known for a variety of specialty pizzas, grinders, and beers on tap - but plenty of regular dinner meals, salads, and apps to choose from with my favorites being the hot nacho dip with mini pierogies and garlic bread with cheese.....”
“Great casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and huge portions. Neither of us could finish our meals which were delicious. Definitely worth the forty minute drive, we will be back!”
“Great place for breakfast near UCONN. Omelets and home fries are always very good along with making their own bread. Enjoyed avocado toast with an sunny side up egg delicious.”
“We hosted a gathering for ~50 people with a selection of lite fare, all of which were absolutely delicious! Everyone raved about the food and service - Bobby was especially awesome, handling drink orders for the entire room without missing a beat. I highly recommend planning Hops 44 for a party or gathering, they did a fantastic job all around!”
“Small pastry shop, but amazing quality. I've been coming here for a while since my uncle turned us on to this place and the pastries are always fresh and consistent plus the stuffed bread is top tier. I'd stop by early and often if you're in the area!Parking: It's a small lot next to the building”
“This is a very solid chinese spot. Personally I think they're the best in the area. The lunch special is super affordable and it comes with a free soda. I usually get the general tso and it's so good and flavorful. Nothing is too greasy and it hits the spot. I recommend!”
