“Came here for the first time today. I've been wanting to try for awhile. Amazing place. Love the menu! So many different things to choose from. Tons of veggie options. I had a veggie melt with broccoli, eggplant, onions, sundried tomatoes and cheese. It was amazing! If you haven't been, great eats for breakfast and lunch!“

“This was my first visit and I really enjoyed it.
I was concerned because it was a Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. and I just knew it would be busy and we may not get seated right away; we were seated as soon as we walked in.

Our server was very attentive.

The food arrived within 10 / 15 minutes

When going to most breakfast places for a first time especially, I always go for my go-to, which is the eggs benedict.

To be honest when my eggs benedict and home fries arrived, the holidays looked a bit different than I am used to at most places and I was unsure about how it would be, taste-wise.
I really enjoyed it and I ate every bite. I always get my English muffins toasted extra for that crunch and so they don't end up too soggy.
Perfect amount of Hollandaise and the home fries were good as well.

Tasty coffee, which matters because you would be surprised or not, that a lot of breakfast places don't serve super good coffee. ?

“? GET A BURRITO ?Alright, here’s the deal. I’m a gigantic shill for DRP, all my friends know it. Something about their pizza does it for me, favorite style, super well done for that particular style, and it’s relatively affordable.I also love their subs, all of them. Shout out to the steak bomb and the TKO (chicken bacon ranch, honey mustard, mozzarella).They’re quick, the people are always SUPER SUPER SUPER friendly, and food comes out hot.But here’s the deal… they need a rebrand.I’ve seen burritos on the menu there for years and never thought to get one. With that said, nothing about this place screams “Greek” to me besides the font on the menu and the Ακρόπολις on the logo (alright maybe a few of the specialty pizzas - moussaka and town hall, I see you. Gyros, ολα εν ταξη, relax.)Tonight I finally did it, I got the carne asada burrito that they had on special and it blew my socks off. For $12 (market rate for the area IMO) you get a huge burrito, wrapped and easy to eat, no dripping, they grilled it, tons of steak and avocado. Man oh man, it hit the spot and I’m just so happy I could cry.Deep River Pizza Mexican. I don’t know if anyone that works there is Mexican, I don’t know if burritos are inherently Mexican, I don’t know what I don’t know and I want to be better.What I do know is that people need to know about this.Chester, Deep River, Essex is grossly devoid of a Mexican spot that’s open late BUT this is at least maybe Mexican adjacent and open late enough for me (9 pm weekdays, 10pm weekends).Get down to Deep River Pizza (Mexican?) and get yourself a burrito. You’re going to be mad that nobody told you to do it before.I am thrilled.?

“I'll start by saying I love Indian food and I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants, so when I say this place is the best, I mean it! This restaurant is a small, mom and pop type place and the owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She even offered to make us a vegan dessert on the house! She does everything herself, including taking orders and cooking. Everything is made to order, from scratch, and she takes great pride in that! As a result, everything is absolutely delicious! This restaurant is exclusively vegetarian, but the owner is very knowledgeable about veganism and most dishes can be easily made vegan. I ordered the onion pakoras as an appetizer and they were deliciously flavourful and crispy, but not greasy at all. For my main dish I ordered the chole puri. This might be my favorite meal ever! It is essentially chana masala, but comes with puri (puffed flatbreads), which are so tender and delicious and perfect for scooping the curry! We also got aloo paratha (flatbread stuffed with spiced potatoes) on the side and it was equally tender and delicious. The owner made sure to inform me that it was all vegan and even told me what specific substitutions she made to make it vegan, like using almond milk in the curry instead of cream. This place is almost an hour from my house, but I will make a special trip to come back here for the amazing food and service from this incredibly kind and accommodating woman who takes so much pride in what she does.“

“Full disclosure: I am biased. I have many fond childhood memories of Madison, so I really wanted to love this place. We used to rent a house for the summer literally right around the block. I last ate at a previous incarnation of this restaurant back in the 1980s, and it was okay but not great, pricey because of its prime location on the water but nothing to write home about. Not so in 2025! I'm thrilled to report that it is now one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Madison area in years. The pork tenderloin, duck and clam chowder were all outstanding, the service was excellent, and oh that view! To cap it all off, very reasonable prices. Far too many restaurants charge a premium for the waterfront location but fail to deliver on the really important stuff. But these guys definitely deliver. So for the foreseeable future, whenever my travels take me through Madison, this will be my first choice for dinner.“

Neither one of us was drinking alcohol due to health reasons and after ordering iced tea or waiter pretty much ignored us. My iced tea glass was empty I pushed it out to the side he came by and took The Empty Glass never asked if I wanted to refill didn't offer to bring me a refill just disappeared we waited a really long time before he came back to see if we wanted dessert or anything else. “Totally different . My Brother and I stopped for Breakfast on Sunday September 1 st . Very small place and extremely Effecient . A Line was waiting outside but there was a couple of spots available at the Counter . Great bunch working there and used to handling crowds . Three Cooks doing their job right in front of you and 2 Waitresses taking care of Counter and Tables . We had Corn beef hash and eggs which were great . You have to try this place . Plenty of outside tables for good weather .“

“Hey Connecticut, you have a culinary gem in your back yard. We had been trying to get to Grano Arso for a couple of years while visiting CT from San Diego and it finally worked out. We stopped by on our way to the Goodspeed theater and wow, it was worth the wait. We don't like to fill up too much before the theatre so opted for the small, rotating, tasting menu, which included 2-3 choices for each phase of the meal and each was amazing. At the recommendation of our very adept server, we did share the peach salad and it is truly a winner. All pastas and the bread are house made from locally sourced ingredients. I opted for the cod as my main and it was so fresh... you can taste the fresh North Atlantic Ocean. My opener was squash soup, which was perfectly cooked .. not to thick not to thin .. and oh my so good. Service was first class from the time we entered until heading out the door with lots of assistance, from all. I'm one to ask lots of questions, which were met with patience and a smile. The ambiance is elegant but not over the top. We both felt we could enjoy our meals without any pretentiousness. The Michelin folks need to head to Grano Arso fast ... as do you Connecticut because after Chef Jean gets his first star, you know the prices, which are very reasonable for the quality and service, will rise. Well done and can't wait to return to enjoy one of their pasta dishes.“

“I’ve been thinking about Jia Mei’s dry cooked food. Today I tried the 5 Spice prawns which was served of a bed of warm lettuce, red peppers, and fresh sliced chilis. It was delicious, flavorful, colorful, and spicy. This cooking technique is a style of Chinese cooking which is hard to find on the shoreline. Yum!“

These must be people that can only accept 5 star service, and everything else is 1 star. I understand some of the things you complained about, and maybe you did have a valid point, but 1 star, and to imply that the waitress was suffering from dementia, come on, grow up. If you made reasonable criticisms, and rated fairly, people would take you seriously, but you just make yourselves look mean and vindictive. All over an undercooked omelette, etc.“
