“Hello All. I was on a mission. My wife had a taste for a pound cake, but not just any pound cake. She wanted a pound cake that tasted like her mom used to make. Well, it took some time to scan the internet and read some of the comments at other bakeries and I found myself very disappointed. As I was about to give up, I found Perfect Poundcakes. I read the comments from their customers and I thought I would give them a try. I placed my order online. When I picked up my poundcake I was greeted by a friendly staff that took extreme pride in their product. When I arrived home, my wife instantly recognized the aroma that brought her back to some wonderful memories of her mom. Going forward Perfect Poundcakes will be a part of our family events. “Will definitely use for any get togethers when I need to bring something - I generally get from Big Y (at a very decent price!). But am SOOO interested in some of the other varieties including another customer who suggested Strawberry Creme Pie and now I want one too! Saw a Boston Creme in the photos - I'm in pie heaven. LOVE the pies I've had already! (tried Lemon Meringue, Peanut Butter and I think the first I had was a chocolate creme?)“

Miss Claire (spellcheck) was very nice upon request for an order of cocktail patties . I recently purchased a few dozens for my graduation party and my guest loved them .Every patty was delicious, my favorite is the ackee and saltfish. 10/10 recommend .

“Decent little place, i had the 5pc boneless honey bbq wings and they were good, they were pieces of the tenderloin so they are pretty large and they weren’t breaded very heavy(a definite plus for me) just lightly breaded enough to hold the sauce, they were cooked all the way but not over cooked, they were tender and juicy. Staff was friendly and service was pretty quick, from order to table in about 5-7 min. and that was around 17:45. The table I sat at was clean an comfortable as I had eaten it there, they had tv mounted on the wall to watch while waiting for my order. The price was also reasonable. I will visit them again.“

“Cookies are always good here, albeit a little pricey. Unfortunately, they can't GIVE you a receipt...it has to be texted or emailed, which is rather inconvenient. But at least they didn't add a tip onto my credit card, like they did at the Crumbl Cookie location in New York City (Chelsea) yesterday! And I had to remind him that I paid for
a Chocolate Milk with my order, too, which he forgot.“

“Our vendor for our wedding uses Modern Pastry for their wedding cakes. the tasting was so easy and great. we went with chocolate cake chocolate mousse. Our cake was phenomenal!! not only was it gorgeous and EXACTLY as we wanted..it was so delicious. the process was super easy and painless which is what every bride needs...everyone was extremely friendly. thank you so much!!!! highly recommended!!!“

“AMAZING. I saw a cake BBC made for a friend’s party, and it was so incredible and so delicious that I ordered the cake for my husband’s toga-themed birthday party from here. When the owner asked what I wanted, I told her to use her own creation, and I’m so glad I did. The cake was a true masterpiece with fig leaves, columns, frosting made to look like stone, and she even put his name on a plaque. It was a feast for the eyes, and all of our guests oohed and ahhed when they saw it. And it was DELICIOUS. I never saw a cake get devoured so quickly. There wasn’t a crumb left. This place will be our go-to for all of our occasions from now on. Simply amazing.“

I'm a big critic when it comes to Red Velvet because it's my favorite cake, this one was amazing from the soft cake to the cream cheese frosting that was light and melted in my mouth 🤤 with each bite. Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

“Harpo’s Bakery, is an unassuming little bakery in South Glastonbury. The woman behind the counter, assuming the owner (she’s always there), is so very sweet. This morning I ordered a sausage/egg/cheese on a croissant and a Boston Cream donut for my wife. Not only was I a hero when I came home because the donut was so good, the breakfast sandwich was one of the best that I have ever had! Kudos to you Harpo’s for making our little town proud and for such a delicious breakfast!!“

“I have been going to Taste By Spellbound for years and followed them from Buckland Hills to the now South Windsor location. I have never been disappointed, the coffee is the best in the world, (and I've traveled the world) and the whiskey bars are to die for. I always buy them up whenever I'm lucky enough to get them. The staff is always incredibly polite and helpful and always makes me feel welcome. Everything from the employees to the pastries to the environment as a whole is one of a kind. I have sent many friends and clients to Taste by Spellbound over the years and everyone that I sent there has high praise. I love this place and look forward to visiting every week. “I ordered a pull apart bridal cupcake dress and cookies for my daughter’s bridal shower. The cupcakes were made in 4 different flavors that were moist, a good size, and delicious! Some cupcakes were decorated as blue flowers to surround the dress. It was a beautiful presentation. The cookies shaped and decorated as a bridal dress, an engagement ring and a Miss to Mrs plaque were the best! I recommend this bakery for any of your sweet desires. “Just started coming here not too long ago and have not been disappointed! The bagels are delicious and always fresh. We call ahead and have our order ready within 10 minutes. The donuts are delicious, my favorite right now being the Oreo one. The staff is very friendly, we were attended to by a lady who was very friendly and courteous. With 2 coffees, 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwich bagels, and 3 donuts… the total cost was about $32. She even threw in an extra donut 🩷. All staff members have been very friendly and kind.
