“WOW!!!! I lived in France for 8 years and have traveled through much of Europe……Bounom is hands down the VERY BEST bakery that I have ever been to!!!! My mother and I are fairly accomplished cooks and bakers so are very aware of quality……..we do not eat grocery store pastries….they may be convenient and less expensive but are very poor quality……Kamla makes everything by hand with top quality ingredients the morning that they are sold…..basically, you get what you pay for!!!!!! Top quality ingredients are expensive! You can order online the day before to make sure that you are able to get what you want, they often sell out early. If you want discount store prices, then go to the discount store……Bounom products are EXCEPTIONAL and very much worth the price!!!!! In addition the staff are extremely friendly and helpful!!!! My NUMBER ONE RECOMMENDATION for a bakery !!!! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to their wonderful goodies!!! I would give them 10 stars if I were able!!!“

“Our vendor for our wedding uses Modern Pastry for their wedding cakes. the tasting was so easy and great. we went with chocolate cake chocolate mousse. “I was having a party for my son and a guest was gluten and dairy free and wanted her to have something special too! I had seen this bakery on Facebook and live 5 mins away so it seemed a perfect opportunity to try. I purchased a chocolate zuchinni cake for the little girl and while there I grabbed an Oreo tres leche cake for myself. LET ME TELL YOUUUUUUU!!! That Oreo cake was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I will absolutely be back for treats here and will recommend them to anyone looking for something sweet, whether gluten free or not. Seriously, get here.“

This was my first time ordering a custom cake, and she was so patient and informative, guiding me every step of the way and making me feel completely at ease. I had created an inspiration image using ChatGPT and asked if she could make a cake that looked similar. Not only did she recreate it perfectly, but the final cake looked even better than the image I shared! It was truly stunning and exceeded all expectations. We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

I'm a big critic when it comes to Red Velvet because it's my favorite cake, this one was amazing from the soft cake to the cream cheese frosting that was light and melted in my mouth 🤤 with each bite. “With the move just down the street, Beanz and Co & The NE pasta co transformed itself to another level. The place is spacious and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. In addition to the main dining area, There are three separate seating areas: a room with comfy seats for a small group of talkers, a back room for a quieter setting and a third room perfect for a work meeting or small group of friends or couples.

I love the inclusion of staff with challenges, otherwise may not have this positive opportunity. 💜

The catering is great; I’ve taken home a number of delicious family meals.

Some cupcakes were decorated as blue flowers to surround the dress. It was a beautiful presentation. “The Portuguese Sweet Buns from Abrantes Bakery & Pastry Shop (purchased at Cherry Valley Supermarket in Waterbury) are excellent: a lightly sweetened authentic flavor, moist, and the right amount of raisins. I am penalizing them 1 star because they use bromated flour (potassium bromate), although as an occasional treat, I think it's probably fine.“

“Just started coming here not too long ago and have not been disappointed! The bagels are delicious and always fresh. We call ahead and have our order ready within 10 minutes. The donuts are delicious, my favorite right now being the Oreo one. The staff is very friendly, we were attended to by a lady who was very friendly and courteous. With 2 coffees, 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwich bagels, and 3 donuts… the total cost was about $32. She even threw in an extra donut 🩷. All staff members have been very friendly and kind. Definitely recommend this place.“
