“I have been to a few HBC locations, but this one is the most disappointing. Their food is still great, though. I LOVE their alt-B, but this location gave me about 1/2 of what I get at the other locations - my sister also was disappointed with hers. Their tortilla soup was very bland (I couldn't finish more than two spoonfuls).
Their bread and pastries are just as good as the other locations. Their staff members are fantastic and they have a lot of seating!

Vegetarian options: They have a lot of vegetarian sandwich options, sometimes they will have a vegetarian friendly soup.

Parking: There are about 8 parking spots right on Route 4 that are extremely difficult to get into and out of. There is another small parking lot behind the cafe that I recommend using.“

“Today I was there at Auntie Anne’s I ordered original pretzel nuggets and the food is so good!! So tasty and soft ?must try watermelon lemonade I personally like it and the staff were so friendly !! I suggest this place for good pretzel’s?“

“WOW!!!! I lived in France for 8 years and have traveled through much of Europe……Bounom is hands down the VERY BEST bakery that I have ever been to!!!! My mother and I are fairly accomplished cooks and bakers so are very aware of quality……..we do not eat grocery store pastries….they may be convenient and less expensive but are very poor quality……Kamla makes everything by hand with top quality ingredients the morning that they are sold…..basically, you get what you pay for!!!!!! Top quality ingredients are expensive! You can order online the day before to make sure that you are able to get what you want, they often sell out early. If you want discount store prices, then go to the discount store……Bounom products are EXCEPTIONAL and very much worth the price!!!!! In addition the staff are extremely friendly and helpful!!!! My NUMBER ONE RECOMMENDATION for a bakery !!!! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to their wonderful goodies!!! I would give them 10 stars if I were able!!!“

“Our vendor for our wedding uses Modern Pastry for their wedding cakes. the tasting was so easy and great. we went with chocolate cake chocolate mousse. Our cake was phenomenal!! not only was it gorgeous and EXACTLY as we wanted..it was so delicious. the process was super easy and painless which is what every bride needs...everyone was extremely friendly. thank you so much!!!! highly recommended!!!“

Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

“I ordered a pull apart bridal cupcake dress and cookies for my daughter’s bridal shower. The cupcakes were made in 4 different flavors that were moist, a good size, and delicious! Some cupcakes were decorated as blue flowers to surround the dress. It was a beautiful presentation. The cookies shaped and decorated as a bridal dress, an engagement ring and a Miss to Mrs plaque were the best! I recommend this bakery for any of your sweet desires. The staff was very easy to work with.“

“Great cupcakes! You can get gluten free cupcakes in several different flavors of cake but with the same choice of frosting and toppings as you would have with regular cupcakes. As a gluten-free person I love it when I have a diversity of choices.“

Surprisingly the interior gives no clues as to the royal delights offered….This must be central CT’s best kept secret!. If you let appearances deceive, you are the loser. We tried just a few items: alfajores cookies, guava stuffed into turnover pastry, butterfly-wings(…sometimes called elephant ears), and beef empanadas…with cappuccino expertly made -foam design and all! As we were on our way out, a gentleman entering told us not to miss the delectable rolls!
We were so excited choosing items to try, that we forgot to add the Dulce de Leche & French crème coronet horns!!! We will return there tomorrow morning at 8am to get all we missed today! Buen provecho! Bon apetit!

“Came in looking for a cake they had some ready to purchase and take it was a very pretty cake I assumed it was a vanilla cake because it was filled with Bavarian cream but it ended up being and almond cake instead the cake was still fantastic and luckily no one eating the cake had any nut allergies. “I use to go to this place as a kid all the time after school which was right down the street. Mind you this was back in the early 90s. I don’t know about now but when I would go they had the best sugar donuts they were always fresh and there chocolate eclairs were amazing. They also had some bomb chocolate chip cookies. I guess I never realized it was a Portuguese bakery. Nonetheless this place bring back childhood memories and I’m glad it’s still there.“

“Pop Over Eatery is a breakfast/lunch spot and they have two locations, one in Mystic and one in Simsbury. I've read reviews for this place and was excited to try it out. It's located in the Simsburytown Shops; it's a busy parking lot with limited parking, but we were able to snag a spot. The place was busy at lunch on a Monday. We spoke to the hostess and she said about a 10-15 minute wait, which was correct and fine with us. They had high chairs which was a plus. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the bright and colorful decor.

I started off with a butter latte which you guessed it, had butter in it; it was delicious, I ordered it hot since the waitress said it might not fully melt if it's iced, I appreciated the tip. Their menu was vast and had so many good and unique options to choose from. I decided to try out their French toast BLT; it had an egg, applewood bacon, lettuce, tomato, maple mayo, and cinnamon brioche French toast. This came with a side of syrup but I didn't need it. The sandwich was unique and pretty good; I just wished it came with a side like fries or hash browns. There were a few other menu items I wanted to try out as well. At the end, the receipt was dropped off; I liked that we can pay by scanning the QR code on the receipt.“

I don’t think people realize how challenging it is to get that mint-cookie flavor, and both the vegan and the traditional cupcakes here nailed it!All cupcakes had a fun surprise filling in the middle (I love when bakers do that), and the cookie dough icing had texture AND TASTE (how, I may never know) of a light cookie dough!I think the cannoli topped one was my favorite but I all were beyond my expectation.No, they don’t have a million options, that’s because they do a few things exceedingly well. “Came here 7 am with my father heading to the yard and I gotta say this place is great. It’s a small homy place, I had the cinnamon raisin bagel, with onion chives cream cheese bagel and a powdered jelly donut. The donut we purchased had a fresh and fluffy taste/feel. The bagel was toasted right, and the mocha coffee was tasty as well. A good balance of coffee and sugar!“
