Happy hour EVERY DAY 2-6 (buy two drinks, get a FREE small pizza 2-5p, and other great deals). This was honestly the BEST pizza I have had in a LOOOOONG time. For reference, my usual favorites are Mondo in Middletown and Modern in New Haven. Square Peg is at that level for me now. We ordered 1. Bianco + bacon, 2. Pepperoni, and 3. Spicy Margarita and I’d rank them in that order. Probably wouldn’t order the margarita again, but the other two…. No doubt in my mind that we’ll be back for these. The bottom crust was thin and floppy, but stable and not soggy. The sauce was light, not chunky or overpowering. Perfectly sliced meat for a good char but still tender. The edge crust was super soft and flavorful, good char, nice bubbles, not chewy or cracker-y. 5/5 couldn’t ask for anything better (except a golden canoli).“

“We had such a wonderful experience at Joey’s Garlic! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the penne a la vodka, shrimp scampi, and fried calamari, and every dish was full of flavor. The portions were huge—definitely family-style! Honestly, one plate would have been enough for both of us, and we still had plenty of leftovers to enjoy at home. The restaurant itself has a beautiful setting with an industrial hipster vibe, warm lighting, and a fun flare that makes the atmosphere really inviting. “I went back to CT after being gone for about 20 years and, having told my family how good Connecticut pizza was, I took them to Pietro's on a cold March afternoon. They all said this was some of the best pizza they had ever had, absolutely loved the garlic knots, and they all tried to steal my ham grinder.
