“I don’t normally leave these unless really necessary and I felt tonight was. The man Malcom over at frontage rd east haven was amazing . He had a smile on his face the entire time cracked jokes was mad funny and I have to say for that location I am not use to that. There use to be a short girl who worked there and she was just really rude always had a bad attitude no matter what u did if u asked for sauce she would huff n puff. She was not someone who should work in fast food just an unhappy woman. In my opinion she needed a good man in her life idk but this isn’t bout her. This is about the gentleman Malcom. He definitely made my night. Great worker. 5 stars isn’t enough. He deserves way more. Good job Taco Bell east haven you finally got ah good one. 💯👑“

“Stopped in for my first visit today and ordered a burrito bowl with shredded pork, fajita veggies, white rice, black beans, and a few extras. The bacon bits were perfect -- extra crispy, exactly how I like them. My only complaint is I wish there had been a bit more rice. The staff was super helpful, and I even got a discount for signing up for their app, which was a nice bonus. Solid first experience overall. Took my meal to go but the dining area looked really clean like a great place to eat in.“

“The food was delicious. From the guacamole to the Mole. The guacamole was creamy not salty. The mole had a nice little kick to it. However you can choose your spice level. The rice and beans were delicious. The beans are by far one of the better Mexican refried beans we have eaten. We have been to most of the Mexican restaurants in the area from Stratford to New Haven. The Agua de horchata according to my daughter is one of the best she ever had. We will be back again.“

“I had a great experience here with a classic Chimichanga and everything expxected to make my dish a great experience. I added a twist with ground beef and shredded pork. Very tasty. “This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“

“Going home one evening and couldn't figure out what I wanted to eat and saw this this place tucked away next to Burger King and decided to try it!
Very good decision! I can't remember what it's called but it included chicken. Steak, and shrimp with bell peppers and onions, rice, beans, tortilla, and I asked for avocado on the side. It also came with a green pureed salsa sauce.

“Our server was excellent. It was LOUD. Granted it was a Friday night, but even so, the place was incredibly loud. We only had just four people, and still all of us had trouble hearing one another. They should really put stuff on the walls to absorb the sound. (And they could put beautiful Mexican fabrics up, win/win.) Appetizers we good, but not great, but we all liked our entrees. New restaurant so I'm just glad the order was correct (kinda).

Chips and salsa: Fresh. Crispy. Plentiful. Good flavor. A little under on the fry but still perfectly crispy. 7.5/10

Tacos Birria (beef): wow. Fresh. Smokey. Well prepared, just the right amount of ingredients and the flavor is what I suspect Birria tacos are supposed to taste like. 10/10

Burrito: ordered garlic shrimp, but they were out. Subbed in spicy chicken. They PACKED this thing, arguably too packed. But everything was delicious, fresh, good ratio of ingredients, however the pineapple mango sauce was over powered by the amount of other ingredients. 8/10.

Service: so it looks like my online order was overlooked by one employee, despite there only being one person in line being served. Obviously they haven't figured out how to turn off ingredients when they run out or aren't capable of doing that with online ordering, so plan for a backup. Additionally, I checked the prices on the in store menu versus what I paid on the Clover app (read; thankfully no upcharges using online ordering).

All in all, some growing pains and service efficiency improvements are needed, but boy was it worth the wait and patience. Will absolutely have again.“

“It's a been a few years since I last visited, but I still think about this place from time to time. Whenever I'd visit my friend in New Haven, we'd always come here to feast on tacos and other offerings like tortas. The tacos are great value: $8 for 4 tacos for most of the selections. Best of all, they have my favorite variety of taco: tacos de lengua. Granted that the tacos de lengua come at a bit of a premium compared to the other varieties, but I'm more than willing to pay the extra $2. The taco fillings were generous and the chips + pico de gallo + salsa verde that came with each order was fresh. I wish they also gave radishes with the taco orders, but that's a minor thing. Next time I'm in New Haven, I'd be sure to come back here to have those tacos again.“

“We ordered all the same items as in my last review, we even ordered take out Chinese last week as their fresh taco machine was being repaired. I learned they had moved when I went to pickup my order and found it was no longer Fresh Taco — easy to find, Elm St turns into Grand Avenue (#305) and they are located about 1/2 mile down in the corner or Blatchley Avenue. And to my surprise there’s a great Mexican bakery next door, Panaderia La Tapatia! Enjoy! ¡Disfrutar!“

“This was my first time eating Bubbakoos. We had the Birria crunch wrap and Birria quesadillas and I was extremely impressed with the flavor. Not too many places get it right and they were 8/10. Also had BYO hard tacos which I asked for everything on the side for my autistic son. He loved them and the portions were very generous! Salsa was blah (personal preference) Guac was on point and queso was good also! No complaints here.“

“Was there the other night for a friend’s party. Handled a huge crowd with grace. Ordered the enchiladas suizas with no cheese or crema— because dairy intolerance. They went the extra mile and put sliced avocados and onions on top. No one does that ever— I just eat sad enchiladas usually. They made it so nice! There was a kick to the green sauce— subtle and tasty. Was so good! And all my friends’ dinner and drinks looked amazing too! Giant cheladas and delicious margaritas. Can’t wait to go again!“
