I just finished eating a plate from here for the first time (burrito Al pastor) after picking it up on my way home from work. It was excellent. Truly good, above my expectations, better than half the trucks at long wharf. The service was kind and efficient. There were people sitting down an hour before close on a Tuesday night. My immediate impression was that this is an establishment that has built a solid reputation and community of regulars, which makes me feel good about returning here. And again, my burrito Al pastor was delectable and worth the price (which sadly can be rare these days on both counts). It actually made me feel happy. Looking forward to trying more items from their menu, which features many attractive items while also being refreshingly streamlined. Perhaps best of all, they had grapefruit Jarritos in stock! This is the best flavor of soda, objectively. Good on them. Even if you're just in West Haven to visit the beach, it's worth it to walk the half mile or so inland to come here, especially since Iishin ramen shut down (RIP Iishin, this town didn't deserve you.)“

“This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“

“Going home one evening and couldn't figure out what I wanted to eat and saw this this place tucked away next to Burger King and decided to try it!
Very good decision! I can't remember what it's called but it included chicken. Steak, and shrimp with bell peppers and onions, rice, beans, tortilla, and I asked for avocado on the side. It also came with a green pureed salsa sauce.

“Our server was excellent. It was LOUD. Granted it was a Friday night, but even so, the place was incredibly loud. We only had just four people, and still all of us had trouble hearing one another. They should really put stuff on the walls to absorb the sound. (And they could put beautiful Mexican fabrics up, win/win.) Appetizers we good, but not great, but we all liked our entrees. I learned they had moved when I went to pickup my order and found it was no longer Fresh Taco — easy to find, Elm St turns into Grand Avenue (#305) and they are located about 1/2 mile down in the corner or Blatchley Avenue.
