I'm looking for a no-nonsense experience and good food, prepared quickly at a decent price. King's Garden hits the mark and never disappoints. It helps to be a repeat customer so you understand that when you call in an order, you should be prepared to order exactly what you want, not ask extraneous questions or plan to have a conversation. “I ordered to go here. I wanted some good Chinese food quick and I made the right selection by ordering here. I got combination platter with chicken lo mein , pork fried rice and an egg roll. I also got a half wonton and half egg drop soup. Overall Food was good. Chicken lo mein was still piping hot when I ate it but my soup was barely warm at all. Staff was friendly when ordering here and service was fast. Food was ready in 20 minutes.“

“We live in Salem, not many choices when it comes to “around the corner” restaurants. We get take out from here every now and again. I honestly don’t understand all the negative reviews, the food is good. We’ve never had an issue with customer service - never had someone be rude when I call our order in and the gentleman behind the counter is always pleasant upon pick up.“

It's (for me) primarily a take out place.
I found Golden Wok in the middle 90's when they were on Bayonet St. There menu and food quality hasn't changed in that 27 years.
I moved out of New London in 2003 and I travel back to Golden Wok at least 6 or 7 times a year.“

“This is by far the best buffet I have been to, I drive one hour from New Britain, CT just to eat here, Me and my daughters love the food and the sushi section is pretty big, for under $100 you can feed 4 people and leave very full and satisfied.“
