Fast Food Restaurants near Essex

“Had a long horrible day. Drove my bicycle to Old Saybrook to secure a hacked bank account.
Actually got a ride back to Scotch Plains Tavern by the Awesome police force in Old Saybrook.
These guys are great!
Ended up at Essex Plaza across from the minivan which currently is my mode de transport.
Stopping at this Subway was nothing short of amazing.
The wonderful woman working there, Sabel, gifted me with a rood beer and allowed me to plug my EcoFlow River 2 into the power outlet. Even though it was only for about a half hour, the power bank now provides me with enough juice to leave this review.
The place is clean, smells great and althout very small provides a fantastic atmosphere of honest caring.
Felt 100% at home in this tiny restauraunt.
Would endorse this place without any doubt of the consideration of the wonderful people who work there.
If you dig Subway food, then this place will satisfy you.

“Love this place. It’s located in a really cool spot at a triangular spot between two roads . Easy parking access if not too crowded. My car just can’t seem to pass the place without stopping in and I have to take a break with a Blizzard.“

“clean. staff is great and friendly. soda machines must be cleaned frequently because the diet coke is the best in the area.

Vegetarian options: i’m a vegetarian and i got the veggie sandwich and it was great. i bet cheese would make it better - but i refused the cheese due to trying to cut out the fat. fries are a 10

“The environment is very clean and great, and even the outside of the shop is very pleasant with clean and great table and chair arrangements for evenings in the open air.
Most importantly, the management and employees are very friendly and great.
I have been there several times for lunch and dinner, they are very good.“

“Excellent Experience. Stopped at that Subway to buy myself and 2 workers lunch on the way back from a job. The 2 ladies working were very friendly, polite and attentive. The elder of the 2 who had taken care of me made a great wrap suggestion and the food was great. Besides the friendly staff there are chairs outside to sit in which was great on such a nice day.“

“I went to have a quick bite with my husband last night and while we sat to eat, a man with no money walked in. The owner immediately walked over to him, greeted him with utmost respect, made him a footlong sandwich and meal, free of charge, and treated him in a way that made us both tear up and realize there are good people in this world who have a heart of gold. The owner is a couple who treats their customers like friends and family, but this action made me respect them 100 times more. God bless you. We come in from out of state once a month to visit our kids and always stop to eat here because of their warm customer service.“

“I had a great experience here, however my order was super simple, but the woman that waited on me was very cheerful and talked to me the entire time I was there. She said hello when I walked in and have a great day when I left. After coming back from our vacation to PA where everyone was in a bad mood, it was a nice change.“

“Just stopped by on our way back from rhode island. Seems like a very rural area it was in, which seemed weird. As GPS was directing us we were like, where the heck are we going?? But it was nice indeed. They have a playhouse- which we thought those were all out of commission at this point. And they bring your food to you if your eating in! I haven't eaten in a McDonald's in years! They have kiosks to order and pay for your food. Or you can wait in line and do so. Then we picked is table number and they brought us our food. Nice. Also they have the soda fountains in front so you can get free refill. Most in the city don't have that option. So that was nice. The staff was friendly and apologetic for the wait, of which we didn't think anything of it. The food was good. I had fish meal with extra tartar sauce. We food big mac meal, and the 4 chucked tender meal- of which we only had 3 tenders. By the time my nephew mentioned it, we didn't bother to correct it. I did use the bathroom. There were two stalls in the ladies' room. One was occupied, the other was dirty- i won't go into detail, but i could not use it in that condition. So i had to wait for the other to free up. Overall though, it was a nice stop.“
