The Fisherman Restaurant at Long Point

Lovely, older, seafood themed restaurant with waterviews from most windows. Very nice 2 levels of outdoor dining options with umbrellas. ADA accessible interior, outside dining is around the back of the building down a short grassy hill. That did not work for our adult in a wheelchair. Indoor dining was very goid, ADA bathrrom was large, clean, and acessible.

From Chicago I very much enjoyed eating Gere. Server was prompt polite and friendly, a credit to her profession. Food was fantastic, had lobster Rangoon for the very first time it was excellent also very much enjoyed a cup of N. E. Clam chowder. Please stop and try this place you will not be disappointed✌

We had a delicious meal with two of our friends at The Fisherman Restaurant. Our friends recommended this restaurant and our first visit to The Fisherman Restaurant was great! The service was excellent and we had a great view of the water. We strongly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy seafood!

Awful. Fish looked and tasted like old, charred veg. oil. Very small portion. Should have sent it back. Very loud with wedding reception. No thank you.

Rainy day for us but I would think they place is the jam when it's sunny out. Food, atmosphere and service were all great. I enjoyed almost all the food, even if the menu has a bit of multiple personality disorder. Our hostess, server and runners were all a delight.

Started out with bringing us to a not cleared table. Manager came up to us and asked why we were standing there and proceeded to walk away and not assist with clearing the table. Very strange interaction. Service was quick however the food was mid at best. The NE clam chowder was clearly not made by the restaurant and very watery, no clams. Steak was asked for medium and came out medium rare at best. Asked to have it cooked a little longer. Was told it would be a new steak. Same cut steak came out and smaller part of the steak was still very rare. Manager came over and was very rude and insincere about the situation. Very disappointed. Surprised the rating is as high as it is. Appearance of a nicer restaurant, experience of a dive bar you’d be embarrassed to say u went.

Overall the spot is lovely with scenic water views that can be enjoyed from inside and out on a beautiful deck,
We recently hosted a group of 16 for lunch and the experience was fantastic.
Irene served us and the service was impeccable. From appetizers to dessert she made sure every guest had everything they needed for 3 hours. She never missed a beat
She was great!
The food (as always) was absolutely delicious. The fish for every meal was fresh and perfectly cooked. We ordered off the menu and everyone chose a different meal including the amazing halibut special, mussels fra diablo, shrimp po’boy, fried clams scallops etc. Even with this variety of menu items ordered, everything was fantastic. Consistency of great cooking throughout. My chef husband was impressed.
All in all it was a memorable dining experience.
We are looking forward to going back.

This was one of the most disrespectful dining experiences I’ve ever had.

I stood at the door for nearly 20 minutes. No acknowledgment, no explanation. I was eventually seated only after another employee noticed me.

Because of the delay, I was told I could still order from the happy hour menu. I ordered a mini lobster roll and an apple martini. I then sat for over 30 minutes with no drink and no food. The only thing brought to my table was a water glass that was spilled and never cleaned up.

When my food finally came out, it was dropped at the table with no interaction and still no drink. My server was visibly making and delivering drinks for other tables while continuing to ignore mine. I had to ask someone else about my drink, and even then, nothing happened but attitude . No apology, no update, no effort.

Multiple staff members walked past me without acknowledging me. At that point, I felt completely dismissed and invisible. I was the only Black woman in the restaurant, and the difference in how I was treated compared to others was hard to ignore. It genuinely felt like I was being overlooked on purpose.

I never received the drink I ordered, yet was still given a check that didn’t reflect the happy hour pricing I was promised. When I questioned it, I was given excuses instead of accountability. “Today is my first day, I only do what I am told” not sure how you lack basic customer service even on a new job.

I left without being properly served, frustrated, and honestly humiliated. I would not recommend this place to anyone expecting basic respect and service.
