My first time eating Ethiopian food & Abyssinian did not disappoint! We really enjoyed the food, lots of delicious flavors. The waiter we had was terrific (I think he may have been the owner). Made us feel like we were guests in his own home. He created a special selection of items and showed us how to eat in the authentic Ethiopian fashion. Yum!
The food was delicious. The staff was kind and friendly. My nephew was with me and had eaten Ethiopian food many times but I had never had it. I loved it because there are a lot of vegetables and spices involved. The meatball appetizer was excellent as was the Chicken Sambusa. I will definitely be going back. I loved it. It is a family place which is the kind of place that I love to support.
I'm in no way familiar with Ethiopian food but the service here made it easy for me. Simple, you have your bread, your meat, your sauces and vegetables. Next you just use your bread as an eating utensil to scoop up your meat and what not. Finally, shove that ***** in your mouth and enjoy the spicy flavors your stomach would love the next day.
