“My husband and I went to the restaurant for the first time last night. When we got there, we found that they could only do take out at the present time. There was a nice gentleman (cook) and he told us they need waiters/ host before they can get back to the way things were before COVID. We placed our order and told it would be ready in 30 minutes. The plus side is, they have to cook everything "made to order" so our food was nice and fresh and DELICIOUS!! Hopefully now that UCONN is back in session they will get some good employees and be able to have "dine-in" again.”

“This is no joke hands down the best Chinese I have ever had. I have never sat down in a Chinese place like this before but I’m glad I did. You want this food fresh and fresh is what it was! Boneless ribs, immaculate, general tsos, egg rolls, rice, fried wantons, all the best I ever had. Not one single disappointment. Ohhhh and it was only 58 bucks for my entire meal with a scorpion bowl….talk about budget dinner. Amazing 5 stars!!”

“This place is better than the subway on Boston post Road, the employees are decent in my experience and who i believe to be the manager of this subway can be cool from time to time and hooks me up with extra in my sandwiches without charging extra. I mainly order online, pick and leave and havn't had an issue with this place yet and unlike the other subway place i mentioned for the most part this subway place pays more attention to online orders.”

“I brought my mother there who has Alzheimer’s and I needed help ordering quickly cleaning off the benches outside, they offered to bring the food out and they were just stars. They look like two young guys and they could read the stress on my face and were very helpful and the order was perfect. I did say thank you, but I hope they know how much they helped me”

“Great option if you’re craving some pizza as a vegan. Staff was mindful to switch gloves and pizza cutter. Worth asking them ahead of time just in case as the staff are usually young college students in a rush making tons of pies!”

“I came here last night for the first time after a recommendation and so glad we did cause they did not disappoint. The decor is a little dated however we have the nicest waitress Natasha who made the evening so great. She was very prompt and friendly and really funny. The food portions were a generous size and everything we had was really good. We never once asked for water refills, she just kept them coming. Amazing staff. Amazing food. Will be returning to our new local favorite spot in the very near future and hopefully will get the same amazing waitress.”

“I love the chicken so much I’ll drive 35 minutes to get some, however this time I was handed the wrong order completely, they never asked my name. And I not thinking drove home without realizing. Thankfully after a day or so they issued a full refund for the order. So over all good chicken just make sure you’re leaving with the right food.”

“The food at Gallo's is by far the best I've had in the area. They took extra care with our vegetarian quesadillas, creating an off-menu special with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, all freshly cooked and packed into fresh and tender corn tortillas. They will make anything in a veggie version and also do gluten-free. The storefront restaurant is modest but has a warm feeling. Gallo's has the feel of a community favorite and the food is made with love. Can't recommend this gem enough!”

“Was Working in town and decided to stop by as I’ve heard great things about UConn Diary Bar. There were commencements going on so lines were a little long but worth the wait. I got a medium 3 scoop black raspberry which was fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back again.”

I have tried many different things and I am always very pleased. Yesterday I picked up some of their strawberry jelly and it tastes just like my mom's used to. 💜 Its the first one I've been able to find and putting it on their bread made either even better!
