“We just got married this past weekend and the food and service provided by Christine's was great! We got so many compliments on our dinner choices and the cocktail hour apps were great too. The staff made sure I was well taken care of and got to try everything as I was running around taking pictures and talking to guests. The presentation of the dessert table was beautiful and bar service was quick and efficient. Staff also helped setup our table arrangements to make sure it looked exactly how we wanted. “Spice Catering catered my wedding and I cannot recommend them enough! Debbie was a lifesaver during the wedding planning. We hosted the wedding at my in-laws house, and she helped us figure out the layout of the backyard, all the rentals we needed, and the general flow of the event. She was always available by phone or email and was extremely responsive. The food was also delicious. We got multiple comments from guests that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Debbie and the chef were extremely flexible during the menu planning and were able to customize dishes to our liking. We had a lot of vegetarians and they made an amazing quinoa and black bean stuffed pepper dish that everyone, even the meat eaters, loved! Moreover, the entire Spice Catering staff was extremely attentive during the event. They kept asking my husband and I if we needed more food or drinks, and prepared appetizer plates for us during the pictures after the ceremony to make sure we had something to eat. I would highly recommend Spice Catering for a wedding or any other event, and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.“

“We had our wedding at The Spinning Wheel this past December. When I tell you it was amazing, it was nothing short of the best day of our lives. All thanks to Katlyn and her wonderful staff. Katlyn did her absolute best to make sure this day was everything we wanted it to be, from start to finish. Including helping setup, and take apart all of our decorations that we brought in. Not only this, but when the Bartender called out the day of our wedding, she jumped back there and got drinks out like a pro. This day wouldn’t have been what it was, without her. Katlyn answered our questions honestly and respectfully at all stages of the process. When she had an unforeseen inconvenience, on top of an unexpected delayed start from us, she picked up the slack and delivered. “Nancy and Kristin and the entire Fortuna's Catering team helped make our event perfect! Nancy and Kristin helped plan our anniversary party menu which included many back-and-forth emails. They were always available and ready to answer any questions we had! On the day of the party, the team handled it all! We didn't have to worry about a single thing. From putting out plates, silverware, and food set up, to coordinating meal times, making sure my husband and I get first dibs, and all everything in between. Each team member was kind and helpful! The most important part.. THE FOOD. We had hor d'oeuvres, a main meal, and dessert catered by Fortuna's, and when I tell you everyone complimented the food...it was AMAZING! Some of the fan favorites were the grilled peach and burrata on crostini, chicken and waffles with maple cream, the mini sliders, the smores bites, and the affogato bar! Everything was so tasty, the temperatures were perfect, and the food options were so fun and out of the "party norms" that you usually get at events which made it even better for a crowd! Fortuna's is the place to go when you want really fun and tasty food options and amazing customer service!“

“We typically work at the Waterview several times a year as we are local full-time wedding photographers. It is one of our favorite venues in Connecticut - or anywhere! We love the beautiful location along the Housatonic/Lake Zoar, the well-kept and photogenic grounds, the spacious and elegant interior, and the attentive, friendly, easy-going staff. It is always a pleasure to book a wedding here, and I know it will go absolutely seamlessly in heat or cold, rain or shine. The west or east sides both have charming and unique looks if your wedding is small or 300+ people. Even when there are two events occurring you’d never know it. The food is sensational whenever we’ve had time to eat. There are so many ways to capture the space, and we are always finding new ones despite being here a few times each spring and fall. As a FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot, I always appreciate the views afforded in the skies, too. The Waterview’s bright spaces and enormous windows let us play with natural light as much as possible. If you work in this industry you know every wedding has a mishap or two from something forgotten at home, a sudden change in the weather, the party being stuck in traffic, etc. Everyone at the Waterview rolls with the punches so well, and the venue allows us all to collectively handle this turbulence with grace. You can shift a part of the itinerary, find a place to shoot and hide before the ceremony behind the building, or spend more time being waited on in the amazing bridal suite. Even the restrooms are clean and the parking is ample/easy. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review.
