“The lobster rolls are the best in northwest CT. The shrimp and grits are likely the top 5 I have ever had. Burgers are cooked to your preference. Dry rub wings are delish! Well crafted cocktails that hit the spot. The staff is lovely and attentive. Sunday live music brunch. Thursday nights are raw bar and a great happy hour til 6pm. Always a fun time with great food!“

“Went on Friday night and enjoyed an amazing dinner. One of the friends with us is Vegan and it was so nice to have vegan options for her as well. Service was fantastic, never waited on anything. A special touch is the owner visits each table to ensure we are enjoying ourselves and the food. “Had a great lunch today at Lebnani in Watertown, CT. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The beef shawarma and hummus were spot on, and you can really tell everything is made with care. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Definitely one of those spots you’ll want to go back to. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a great meal.“

“Outstanding restaurant! (and we do a lot of our dining in NYC!) Local 63 is an oasis in Watertown, CT in a variety of ways. The food is creative (even when the dish SOUNDS traditional). The chicken fried steak (hard to even find in New England) is outstanding. The salads were awesome: perfectly dressed with great crunch and freshness. The Cassoulet (originally a French farmhouse dish) with chicken, in-house sausage, and white beans cooked to perfection is something you will not find in many other places. Great bar--friendly atmosphere and great for large groups and celebrations. This is a hidden gem with excellent service and owners who obviously care! I will go back and bring many other guests here when I have a chance.“

“I got take out. It was amazing sushi and the hibachi noodles were a hit. One thing of note, absolutely do not park next door. There are signs but I assumed since I was just running in it would be fine. It was not. My friend waiting in the car immediately was descended upon in the literal 90 seconds it took me to grab my food and told with much intensity to move the car immediately. They really have adequate parking at SushiQ, I just overshot their driveway. Enjoy a delicious meal!“

“So I have to give so much praise to this winery. First off Jeff is absolutely amazing. I reached out to him back in Feburary asking about using the winery to get married in April and Jeff was so easy to talk to and was so easy to make plans with so I had the best day. Second off a huge shoutout to the staff of the winery. I was married on April 13th 2024 and it was rainy, windy, and incredibly cold. They let us get married on their deck and out of the rain no questions asked. I went back today on 4/15 to pick up a bottle of wine because I want to have it to drink on my one year wedding anniversary of a wonderful memory of the beautiful place we got married at. The ladies behind the bar were so kind and helped me pick the best wine to my liking. Thank you so much for giving me a beautiful place to get married and a beautiful place to have created beautiful memories with those I love the most. “jimmys food is excellent! however I was there for the 1st time last week, our waitress was not friendly with us. no personality, no smile..brought our food put it down walked away, said nothing. then 5 mins later, as she was walking by the table threw the receipt down, said nothing. Never came to see if we needed anything else or how the food was, she never offered desert, so we didn't get that. I had to go to the counter and ask for a box, as again she never came back to the table. there were only a few tables full, so she wasn't overly busy, meanwhile I'm watching the other waitress there, smile and laugh with her customers. “We visited Walker Road Vineyards today after seeing the sign while driving through the countryside and we cannot recommend it enough. The scenery was beautiful. The barn gave it a rustic feel and the wine was delicious. My husband and I had the rose and it was superb. Also the owners were incredibly kind and took the time to talk to us about the history of the vineyard and they walked around talking to other people too. What really made it special was them taking the time to talk to my kids and make them feel important! Let’s keep small businesses like this alive. We will definitely be going back in the future!“

“Our “home brewery”. If you are looking for great beer, a quieter atmosphere and a true family run spot this is the place. We always feel welcome, the vibe is wonderful and there are usually rotating food trucks. Often there is live music.“

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried beers from Lasting Brass at bars before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

The brewery occupies a separate building near a picturesque area with a river. It has 2 separated outdoor patios and a small area indoors. No food is served inside, but food trucks might are onsite occasionally.

I already had several favorite beers from Lasting Brass, because they were not shy to experiment with flavors. So this time I tried all beers they had on tap. Luckily, there is an option to order a small pour. I have to say, that some beers really impressed me. All the beers I tried were solid, crushable and tasty. But the special place in my heart is reserved to their flagship beers - Java Bloom (Imperial Stout) and Contusion (Sour IPA). These 2 were really bursting with flavor, that was complex and layered. On top of the beers, I thoroughly enjoyed the community in this place. It was filled with regulars, everyone knew each other and it was just a really cozy and friendly environment.

I do recommend this brewery to everyone and it is worth a dedicated trip.“
