Stopped in for a quick coffee and a bite to eat right after opening. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a delicious dark roast and a bacon,egg and cheese that was just perfect very quiet and empty but that didn’t last long as it began to fill up with what looked like students and locals. One of the better Starbucks locations I’ve been to.
I recently brought a group of special needs adults into this Starbucks. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we felt accepted in the store. She personally approached us and ensured that if we needed anything she would help us in anyway she can.
So great to have such an inclusive and accepting Starbucks.

Starbucks Coffee Company is a solid and consistent coffee shop in the Downtown area. The drinks, including the frapp and Amerikano, are generally great, and the food is standard. The location is convenient for exploring, especially on weekends or weekday afternoons. The inside is nice and clean, and the employees are often friendly, attentive, and welcoming with smiles.
However, the store is frequently very busy, being the only Starbucks in New Haven. This can lead to long waits, sometimes 20 to 30 minutes for drinks, even with several people working. Seating can be hard to find during rushes. Some customers report inconsistencies, such as receiving a drink that seems a poor value or not filled completely, particularly when ordering items like a no ice cold brew. The atmosphere can sometimes feel empty, with sticky tables. The passcode-locked bathroom may run out of supplies during busy periods.
