“After attending a very active daytrip/adventure at the Mystic Aquarium (with a large group of adults and hungry kids)... my party was weary that we could find a restaurant that would take us in for dinner, let alone without a reservation, on a FRIDAY NIGHT. Can I just say, Engine Room did not disappoint! *Immediately* greeted at the door by smiling & tentative staff, sat without having to wait even a single minute. Our servers name was Serena, who greeted us happily and took our drink orders without time to spare, though you could tell she was quite busy and had a lot happening with her tables. The drink selection was ON POINT with an impressive selection of *delicious* local brews, and the thoughtfully curated cocktail menu blew me away. I couldn't decide on a bev, so I went with a delicious, perfectly balanced, spicy Margarita made from scratch with fresh squeezed lime juice. My mouth is STILL watering at the thought of it. I pinpointed my cousin to the bourbon selection where he could build a specialty brown maple sugar old fashion with nothing but the best bourbon around. Fresh orange zest and the luxardo cherry? I see what you did there...Once the drinks reached the table, our appetizers were out with absolutely no time to spare. Might I recommend the cowboy dip and maple sriracha wings?! ...Entrees couldn't have reached the table faster, which was quite impressive on a busy weekend in mystic, sitting at a table with well over 10 guests. I ordered the pan seared line caught tuna which tasted so fresh, and was cooked to nothing but perfection. Served over jasmine rice, sesame seed, soy caramel glaze, the crisp and juicy cucumber salad, UGH?! Even my picky 2 year old was shoving it in his face!....Absolutely refreshing.

Top notch food, competitive prices, very impressive selection of beverages, cranking environment, professional and sweet service, (Serena didn't miss a beat!) And lastly.... The music, added such a fun and festive vibe to this zesty restaurant tribe! ?10 STARS ?
