“Stopped in for my first visit today and ordered a burrito bowl with shredded pork, fajita veggies, white rice, black beans, and a few extras. The bacon bits were perfect -- extra crispy, exactly how I like them. My only complaint is I wish there had been a bit more rice. The staff was super helpful, and I even got a discount for signing up for their app, which was a nice bonus. Solid first experience overall. Took my meal to go but the dining area looked really clean like a great place to eat in.“

“Hole in the wall location. Great service. The tortillas and spicy salsa appetizer was excellent, though a slightly larger salsa serving would be appreciated. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and tastiness of the tacos. Had carnitas, al pastor, and birria… all on perfectly warmed tortillas. The tortillas tasted like they were made in-house. The roasted poblanos that came with the tacos elevated each delicious bite. The horchata aguas fresca was very refreshing. Best tacos I’ve had since I left Moreno Valley, CA. Will be back.“

“I'm originally from Texas and I was raised on food this good and well prepared, but usually you had to be invited to a Sunday cookout with your buddy and their 50 closest relatives for this level. The service is great, the food comes out quick and fresh, the flavors are top notch and very authentic for South Texas/ Northern Mexico. We've been twice and we're excited that we've found actual Mexican cuisine up here. Who would have thought Wallingford would have such a gem! Wallingford is for Foodies I'm quickly finding out.“

“It's a been a few years since I last visited, but I still think about this place from time to time. Whenever I'd visit my friend in New Haven, we'd always come here to feast on tacos and other offerings like tortas. The tacos are great value: $8 for 4 tacos for most of the selections. Best of all, they have my favorite variety of taco: tacos de lengua. Granted that the tacos de lengua come at a bit of a premium compared to the other varieties, but I'm more than willing to pay the extra $2. The taco fillings were generous and the chips + pico de gallo + salsa verde that came with each order was fresh. I wish they also gave radishes with the taco orders, but that's a minor thing. Next time I'm in New Haven, I'd be sure to come back here to have those tacos again.“

“Was there the other night for a friend’s party. Handled a huge crowd with grace. Ordered the enchiladas suizas with no cheese or crema— because dairy intolerance. They went the extra mile and put sliced avocados and onions on top. No one does that ever— I just eat sad enchiladas usually. They made it so nice! “This is a great spot for me to get a vegetarian burrito which is easily able to be modified to be vegan - and it's really flavorful due to the mix of mushrooms and everything else. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the price. With tip, it was $15 for just a burrito ....... so it's a treat more than a go-to lunch spot. But highly recommend for a good lunch.“
