“has the beef rib soup with rice, and the cold milo. Soup was hearty, with generous portions of beef, plantains, corn, carrots and yucca. The rice was flavoured with coconut and salt - good enough to eat on its own. And the milo was thick, malty and delicious. Most importantly, the staff were friendly and patiently explained the menu items to us.“

“I recently visited La Sorpresa Restaurant, and I really enjoyed the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how colorful and vibrant the place is. The atmosphere feels cheerful, fun, and almost like stepping into a small amusement park, with lots of eye-catching details and a very picturesque design.
One of the highlights for me was the bread. It was fresh, delicious, and definitely something I would come back for. I also liked that the restaurant offers two convenient options: a takeout area for quick service and a separate dining area where you can sit down and enjoy your meal comfortably.
The entire restaurant has a unique charm and a welcoming atmosphere that makes the visit enjoyable. It’s a colorful and memorable place that stands out from many other restaurants.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely return. If you’re looking for a fun, vibrant spot with delicious bread and a unique atmosphere, La Sorpresa is worth a visit.“

“A small, yet lovely Colombian place. The food and the empanadas are very delicious, especially with the aji that they serve with it. If you order different types of empanadas, ask the staff to put them in separate bags so that it won’t turns into a guessing game. Other than that, the staff is friendly and helpful. I think that they make some of their beverages in-house, such as agua panela and chicha morada. Those go great with your meal. The portions are more than enough to fill you up, so if you order from here, you best come starving!“

“Been to Cosechas three times, had the empanadas each time because they're fantastic! Our waitress today was very sweet, and answered all our many questions about the food in the cases. Some day i will have something other than the empanadas -- everything looks amazong -- but i keep coming back for the empanadas!“

“Classic, long time Colombian restaurant by exit 9 in Stamford. Good lomo saltado and great empanadas.
They have gotten more expensive but the empanadas are priced pretty reasonably still. Lomo is now around $22 which makes it priced average when compared to other restaurants.
Good parking in front and lady at the counter was very nice and friendly. Had no problem ordering despite not speaking Spanish.“
