“My go to for delicious Colombian comfort food. Very nondescript dining area belies the huge portions and amazing food served here. Suprema de Pollo is my favorite and enough for two meals. Bandeja Paisa is solid as well. Their red sangria is one of the best (and strongest) I’ve had.“
“I got the chicken empanadas and at first I was really happy with them! The potato inside was incredibly tender and the empanada shell (?) was perfectly crispy, the salsa was also very good! Unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken inside. The 2 I got both had a lot of weird fatty pieces that ultimately turned me off despite the initially great flavor. Pro-tip, definitely know your order in Spanish before going in! When I was there, the nice young lady who took my order didn’t seem to speak english so a customer helped me out :)“
“Noches de Colombia offers an exceptional dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere where you can dress comfortably. The service, especially with Juan as our waiter, was impeccable. The food deserves a solid 5, especially the chicharrón, simply delicious! It is a perfect place to enjoy with the family. However, they could improve the atmosphere of the place a little to make it even more welcoming.“
“Went with a couple of my boys to celebrate one of their birthdays and the experience was phenomenal. Food was great, environment was awesome and specially the guy Alejandro. Dude was always checking on us and making sure we was having a great experience. He gave us the correct orders and picked up our plates. Great service and for sure i'll be returning.“
“Happen to be in White Plains and decided to try the Colombian house for breakfast. It did not disappoint. The staff was very welcoming, even though we were there when they literally opened the doors. Their bread was warm and while it took a moment to get our food, I’m guessing it’s because they hadn’t even had a chance to warm the pots yet!, it was beautiful enough to want to linger. The food was flavorful, so I’m definitely going to have to come back for dinner and drinks!“
“My family and I have always been going to this restaurant although managements has always changed. Food is great. This time that I went to eat there the waitress that helped us sat us at our table and asked if we were ready to order I asked her for coffee and she told me to get up and serve my self which I didn’t mind to do it. After a while there were more customers that had order also coffee and the all were served the proper in a way as it should. Mean while I was drinking my cup coffee in a foam cup and was not offered to be served in a regular mug. The problem that if it was take out I’d accept that but mind you I was dining in. That point is that every customer should be treated the right way and equally and quality service. I always tip the waitresses/waiters at restaurant acknowledging the work and effort they put in. This time around I felt that this woman did not deserve tips for the quality of service that I have received at this time was not acceptable.“
“Excellent homemade bread and Colombian coffee. I recommend them apart from the fact that the hours are for workers who get up early since it opens from 6 in the morning, convenient for all those who get up early to have coffee and arepas. And the ripiao parakeet“
“Such good food and always freshly made! Bakery items are amazing, fresh juices as well.I just love their empanadas and chicharron as well, staff is friendly, the restaurant is always packed so I take out. Parking is alongside the building in the back.“
“When we went to this restaurant a few weeks ago, it had the name Makondo, not Pantojarse. The environment in Makondo was welcoming and warm, with a mural of los cafeteros that immediately lets you know you're in Colombia. There is a take-away area at the front where you can purchase breads, arepas, and other easily portable foods, in addition to the tables and seating area in the back of the restaurant. We opted to dine-in for breakfast and try a variety of plates: calentado, arepa con chicharron, morcilla, and bunuelos. The calentado transported me back to Medellin and, honestly, it kept me full for the entire day. The morchilla, arepas, and chicharrones were cooked to perfection and we were provided with a variety of sauces to add an extra boost of flavor. Absolutely everything was delicious and the prices are incredibly reasonable when compared with the other breakfast restaurants in the area. The service was very friendly and attentive. Most of the clients spoke Spanish, including us, but we did hear them speaking English with a few tables that morning. This restaurant is a little piece of Colombia in White Plains and brings some much needed diversity (and flavor!) to the regular breakfast scene in this city.“
“My son loves empanadas, and somehow we found this restaurant last summer. Whenever my son has a craving, we go and pick up a few. They are by far the best empanadas our family has ever had, especially the guava and cheese! Last night, I had a couple of hours to kill while my son was at practice, so I decided to go for dinner. The place was completely packed, but they were able to seat me and what followed was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! The presentation was beautiful and the service was absolutely exceptional! I very highly recommend this adorable restaurant if you’re craving authentic Colombian food!“
