Pleasantly surprised. Parking was confusing and there was no apparent activity but once we were seated the waitress was quick and attentive. The chowder and fritters were outstanding.
I went for lunch, the temperature inside the restaurant was on the brisk side so I wore my jacket the entire time. The glasses were heavily water spotted. My starter was really good as was the fries that came with my meal, however the sandwich was so so. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. However I believe the price of the meal did not match the quality. This was my first and last time eating at the yantic river inn

What lovely evening at the NEW Yantic River Inn! The owner is very accommodating, the food was delicious, the band was phenomenal! The decor is subtle, old albums, beautiful mural, clean and service was great. I only wish the name would change to give it new spark. This establishment has been around for many decades, but, there is a new start being made. That's my only suggestion. I hope to see this establishment take off, it deserves the chance, so go and have you private functions...read full review
