“stopped in for lunch with my mom today. she had the chef's salad and I had the side garden salad and a bowl of minestrone. everything was delicious... especially my soup. focaccia and dipping oil was served at the table. so delicious!! fantastic server with a great laugh and sense of humor. I think it was Nino who came around to tables and asked how meals were. when we left, everyone said bye, have a great day. Will definitely come back with a bigger appetite. thanks!!“

“If you’re going to have a drink, have it before you go. We went there last night and had two glasses of house wine each and they were literally as much as our entrees. We eat out all the time and have never seen anything like that anywhere.“

“We are so happy every time we eat at Asylum! The wings are delicious, the sandwiches yummy, and the portions are excellent. We recommend Asylum not only for the tasty foods but just as important - the cleanliness and service! Asylum should be the standard for all other restaurants! Everything is tidy, made to order, and you can tell they care. Never had a delivery with my salad on top of HOT food so I can heartily say they pay attention to the details!We are originally from out of state and had a difficult time finding good takeout places - we'd be disappointed with every other place or we felt like we wasted money. Glad to have found Asylum - definitely helped make CT feel more like home.Kid-friendliness: Call in for accomodations.“

“Starving at the casino, I come across the menu trying to find gluten-free options (gotta love food allergies). Literally there a few minutes later, heaven sent! “While I was in East Lyme visiting I decided to try this place. It was actually really good and the service was pretty enjoyable as well. I ordered the plum ceaser and the pesto bread and both were super tasteful. Whoever is in the East Lyme area should most definitely try out The Plum Tomato!! :)))“

“Incredible experience. Had two appetizers, burrata and the broccolini. Both delicious! For dinner the arugula salad with chicken and gluten free broken lasagna were OFF THE CHARTS amazing. The sauce on the pasta has a little kick to it and we couldn't get enough of it! Their new version of gluten free pasta is made with brown rice and we thought we were eating regular pasta! To die for! Service was impeccable throughout. Will come again and again!“
