I have celiac disease so they are very good when it comes to helping with what I can and can't eat. All their Italian ice are gluten free and and soft serve ice cream is as well. “Myrcene is a hidden gem within Old Saybrook! We recently hosted a graduation party here with about 50 guests and it was the PERFECT spot to host a party. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They kept all of their delicious beers, wines, ciders and seltzers flowing for our guests and allowed us to bring in our own food and desserts (this was a game changer for us when looking for a spot to host a party locally). From the time we set up to the time we cleaned up the owners offered to help and were always there to see if we needed anything. The inside space is perfect for a gathering, plus they have a wonderful outside space too for guests to sit and relax and play lawn games. I can’t recommend them enough for your next party or just for a local meet up with friends and family for a delicious drink!“

“The fruit and vegetable wines tend to be on the sweeter side. The tasting room is small and connects to a green house with flowers and flower baskets. In the tasting room you will also find various jams and sauces from the farm. All the people were kind and helpful.Wine Review:My wife really liked the rhubarb wine. Most rhubarb wines (mine included) are pink in color. Not Staehly's. Their rhubarb was greener, sweet, with a sativa or indica aroma and taste. It was interesting, but not off-putting.There are a number of fruit wines, most of which are a little on sweet side, even if they claimed the wine was dry. Alcohol level was around 10% for these wines. As a home wine maker, I typically aim for dry wines. If I want to sweeting the wine, I add about 5 ml of a Moscato wine to give it the aromas and sweetness while keeping the wine dry.“

“We have been coming to David's place for a long time - usually very good. This time (7/23) was not the greatest. Ordered sea food salad roll toasted. It was not toasted and they have changed the sea food salad since last month. It was really good before - now it's more "Stop and Shop" type salad with big chunks. Before it was chopped up small and had a delicious taste. Also the chips were obviously the "bottom of the bag" ones. Sorry - just disappointed. We drove quite a few miles to eat there.“

The pork belly tacos and fish tacos are absolutely fantastic. Try them!“

“everything was good except the Rhode Island clam chowder , they need to put real clams in instead of ground up tiny specs very disappointed yesterday in the chowder all we got was broth and potatoes with tiny bits of clam“

“Hungry after a few hours at Gillette Castle, we were looking for lunch/dinner. We had a wonderful experience at Pattaconk! Our waitress was friendly and attentive to my dietary needs (Celiac’s). We had a burger, quesadilla & Nashville chicken stripes. My burger had a gf bun & was delicious, husb & daughter loved the stripes & quesadilla. Restaurant had a nice, chill atmosphere, everyone enjoying drinks & food. We will be back when out in the area.“
