“Staple of Old Lyme...for generations! Teddy's most authentic OL experience you can have! Teddy is loved by all who know him and the greatest guy! OL a small town and we're all friend with one another- we keep it positive and super friendly ! Enjoy the ambiance and dont forget to try the rice pudding! Hopefully you'll visit for a quick lunch or great dinner and you'll love it as much as we have forever and will have a great story to go home with to share of your time here!“
“A gem in this pretty town! Ordered white clam pizza and cheese pizza. Pizza's crust was thin and fragrant. Both pizzas were fantastic. Cheese pizza was not too salty and tasted just perfect. White clam pizza was just so good too. Staff were also friendly and setting was very casual. Hope to be back!“
“I tried Vincitori for the first time and the Shepherds pizza was DELICIOUS! The pork was amazing and the pineapple and salsa added a great touch on the taste buds. I wish this could stay on the menu forever! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be trying this place again.“
“We visited Al Forno for Dinner and were Pleasantly Impressed by the Food, Service, Desserts right down to the Cappachinos !!Ben and his staff were Outstanding and we really enjoyed our evening, it was a very nice Food Experience and we will return with Friends and Family to share the same Nicely Done Ben !!!??“
“Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had, these guys and girls know their stuff, if you love pizza then go here to meet your pizza soul mate because you will be in heaven with the first bite...!!Kid-friendliness: We brought our grand child there his name is Otto and they gave him a free t shirt ...who does that these days ....?“
“In CT, we are so lucky to be blessed with a million great pizza options- Brickside Pizza is among them in this area for sure! Great little takeout spot with big flavors! We got the Sunday Dinner with meatballs, ricotta and sauce. We also tried the prosciutto arugula pie as well! They are stocked with plenty of fox on park sodas as well to grab on the way out!“
“If there was 5 star for take out - Centerbrook Pizza wins the Michelin Star. The food is deliciously homemade from their pizza to their pasta and all the salads and grinders in between .The service is family based - from Mike, the master in the kitchen to Anna , his wing woman, you both are best and go beyond for your customers ! ! Added shout to Norma , you are a great front person and you make super grill cheese.Want a great meal, go to Centerbrook !“
“Well I went here initially because of reviews about the pizza, which panned out fantastically. It turns out the rest of the menu is amazing as well. Oki and his staff are fabulous, great chefs, and excellent hosts. Take a couple slices to go, or dine in for an amazing Italian seafood pasta. They've got tons of other dishes. Their garlic bread knots are also way way above average. Homemade Italian desserts, too.“
“I’d driven my 1M times and finally stopped. So glad I did…they serve an absolutely perfect Italian Grinder. The toasted sandwich was flavorful, crunchy and the know to add the lettuce after it comes out of the oven so it is not a soggy mess.I’m looking forward to going back.“
“Kenny's has the BEST JALAPEÑOS POPPERS IN TOWN! (OLD SAYBROOK, CT). He serves these CREAM CHEESE stuffed poppers which far surpass the 'nacho cheddar liquid cheese" filled ones I've had.Other places in town that serve JALAPEÑOS POPPERS ALL HAVE the liquid cheddar filling and seriously aren't worth it. TRY Kenny's POPPERS!!!Fun fact: JALAPEÑOS POPPERS are surprisingly LOW in carbs, not ZERO carb-but LOW enough to not feel guilty if you're watching your diet and limiting daily carb intake.“
“Stopped by here randomly with my family (wife & 3 kids) on a trip from NY to Boston .. We ordered a large cheese pizza to go. We were eager to get home so we ate it in the car.. The pizza was excellent. We all loved it.. My wife & kids all claimed that it was the best pizza they've EVER had.. It might not have been the best pizza I've EVER had but it's in the top 5. I actually thought the pizza may have even been a little bit undercooked and it was still phenomenal.. My only gripe was that I didn't order 2 or 3 more pizzas for the road and leftovers. During the remaining hour and 45 minute trip from the restaurant to Boston all we talked about was how good that pizza was.. True story...*5-STARS*“
“Excellent food!!! Our waitress Gabriella was fantastic and the ambiance was relaxing and cozy. Loved my broiled Cod and Dans linguini with clam sauce was amazing. Can't recommend it higher. Just moved to town a couple months ago and already one of our “go to's”“
“We had a phenomenal experience here for dinner. The food was delicious and the prices were beyond reasonable. We had lasagna and stuffed flounder that were both great. And most of all, the service was amazing. Everybody was kind and welcoming, especially our server Kaitlyn, she was so kind and attentive.“
“WBP is a go-to for easy pickup on my way home from work for me. All of the ladies who work the front do a great job & the food never disappoints! I’ve tried pretty much everything, but my favorite is the chicken club grinder. The overall aesthetic is clean(!), fun & eye catching. They have slices of pizza readily available, a salad bar & soft serve ice cream. Definitely recommend!Dietary restrictions: GF pizza dough available“
“Staff is always very friendly. The food is great. I do not usually order pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs am very picky about both and am usually let down. But East Lyme Pizza, has the best in the area. Very flavorful! I will be a repeat customer for sure!“
“The BEST spicy Buffalo chicken pizza!! We had to do 1/2 cheese because of my kids.I loved the Tuscana salad w/ the Asiago cheese dressing. Everything was so delicious!! Staff was very nice and accommodating, we hardly had a wait for the pizza. Birch beer was yummy too!Kid-friendliness: our kids loved the cheese pizzaParking: if it gets too crowded, there is a grocery store nearby w/ plenty of parking. ?“
“? GET A BURRITO ?Alright, here’s the deal. I’m a gigantic shill for DRP, all my friends know it. Something about their pizza does it for me, favorite style, super well done for that particular style, and it’s relatively affordable.I also love their subs, all of them. Shout out to the steak bomb and the TKO (chicken bacon ranch, honey mustard, mozzarella). They’re quick, the people are always SUPER SUPER SUPER friendly, and food comes out hot.But here’s the deal… they need a rebrand.I’ve seen burritos on the menu there for years and never thought to get one. With that said, nothing about this place screams “Greek” to me besides the font on the menu and the Ακρόπολις on the logo (alright maybe a few of the specialty pizzas - moussaka and town hall, I see you. Gyros, ολα εν ταξη, relax.)Tonight I finally did it, I got the carne asada burrito that they had on special and it blew my socks off. For $12 (market rate for the area IMO) you get a huge burrito, wrapped and easy to eat, no dripping, they grilled it, tons of steak and avocado. Man oh man, it hit the spot and I’m just so happy I could cry.Deep River Pizza Mexican. I don’t know if anyone that works there is Mexican, I don’t know if burritos are inherently Mexican, I don’t know what I don’t know and I want to be better. What I do know is that people need to know about this.Chester, Deep River, Essex is grossly devoid of a Mexican spot that’s open late BUT this is at least maybe Mexican adjacent and open late enough for me (9 pm weekdays, 10pm weekends).Get down to Deep River Pizza (Mexican?) and get yourself a burrito. You’re going to be mad that nobody told you to do it before.I am thrilled.?Parking: Learn to parallel park in beautiful Deep River!Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids, it’s a casual pizza place.Wheelchair accessibility: Once you get on the sidewalk, which is accessible, the door is flush.“
“Just tried V's Brick Oven pizza for the first time. WoW! Easy to get to, they make some really good pizzas!!! Not really too busy, so wait was like 20-25 minutes. The Holiday Hawaiian was excellent!!! The pizzas ordered were correct and hot. Nice to have something like V's in the Chesterfield area. Will definitely return for more eats...lots to try.“
“The best Penne Vodka in town! Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was wonderful. We love this restaurant! We take everyone who visits here and they love it too. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Nice selection of kids entrees.“
“Great pizza. Here's a hint to save a little money, order the village special and hold whatever you don't want (e.g., hamburger). It's less expensive than if you added each of the remaining ingredients separately. Their sauce is on the sweet side, which is nice. The crusts are on the thick side, buttery, and not overdone. Great food!“
“Excellent service, the atmosphere so beautiful. Our calzone was more than enough for two(we brought home half of it).The soups were delicious, perfect for a cold winter day, 1) spinach and 2)lentil-barley.Definitely we'll go back one day!“
“Huge portions for a good price. Got the cheeseburger grinder, and there were two large beef patties on a grinder roll with the fixings. Fiancee got the fried shrimp and onion rings. They were delicious and fried to buttery perfection.Vegetarian options: Eggplants and saladsParking: At the building and nearby free parkingWheelchair accessibility: Tight spaces but no stairs“
“Fiore pizza! Gets a recommendation from my humble taste buds without a question. The boys & I ordered a few pizzas for the big game Sunday and let me tell ya. sausage pizza, big crumbles of spicy Italian ween, ooowee gooey mozzarella cheese, and a well flavored red sauce felt like an appetizer. A chicken pesto pie(last times MP) with fresh red tomato slices, chicken, and a tart green pesto cream to complete the Christmas colorway. A pie so nice we had to order twice! And last, but by all means, not least. A mystery pie, to be unboxed with watering mouths and great excitement. The steaming pie was drizzled all over with tangy orange, sweet bbq brown, and a creamy white sauce. Freckled with diced bits of breaded chicken, this pizza was something to write home about! We HAD to call back and figure out what the delicacy contained. Described as a "special sauce" created by the chef, the crazy chicken chicken cwazy pizza was a top prospect of all the za I've had in my day. A return visit ABSOLUTELY! was my only thought when my full belly and I watched taylor swift and the chiefs take a win next to my rapidly rising rocket. Overal great experience and recommend to anyone in the area!“
“No matter what time of day me and my family go into the restaurant it’s always super clean the staff are always friendly. Nick the owner is more than likely there he greats everyone makes sure everything is good with the food and etc. no matter what dish or pizza my family or I get it’s always outstanding always cooked perfect and amazing flavor“
“We didn't eat, as the kitchen is staffed during lunch hours, and I often go in the late afternoon. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great (train theme, since it's in an old station!) and prices are comparable. A great hometown bar that features Open Mics and Live Music in the evening.“
“I have ordered delivery from Boardwalk many, many times. I have always placed my order quickly and had friendly service. Not today! I ordered 2 dinners with appetizers and spoke with someone who seemed new. They wouldn't make one of the dinners I ordered, so I chose something else. When asked if I was paying cash or card, I said card. After some discussion with his " boss", I was told I couldn't use a credit card, cash. What?? Always use my card. Something very shady going on over there. Never again“
“Food is excellent. We get a specially made pizza from here, and they always get it right. We take out a pizza from here at least every other week. But it is spacious inside and you can sit and eat at the many tables. Give this place a try. You just might like it.“
“Thai place has excellent pizza and entertainment for the kids. There are two large displays of model trains upstairs. It’s fun to take the shoreline east train service there and back to get lunch or dinner.Kid-friendliness: We go to this restaurant so the kids are entertained. They can look at the train models and watch the real trains on the TV screens thT show the train tracks.“
“So, we get takeout from here at least 3-4x per month- and have been for years. Also, we live closer to Tolland so it's about a 50 min drive for us to do this. I can honestly say no one I know has ever had a bad meal/experience here. Never have had to wait over the anticipated time for our order. We have never had an issue where we haven't received everything ordered and they always put our order in a box for easy carrying. The large salads are absolutely on point! The "extras" you can add for a nominal fee are absolutely worth it- as is the grilled or crispy chicken additions. The pizza is always plentiful if you walk in for a slice. Grinders are excellent. I don't understand the only option of seeded bread for toasted sandwiches, but I still enjoy them- although I do wish there were an option. The meatballs are the only meatballs that I've ever eaten in a restaurant that are reminiscent of my now deceased grandmother. In fact, my mother says they taste exactly like her mother's meatballs! I always order a side of balls- and eating one is like a comforting hello from her! The garlic knots- oh the knots- they're...well, no words. Just try them. I'm really into their pasta sauce- and I can honestly say I don't like many restaurants since I always make my own but this one I can eat by the spoonful. It's not too bitter or too sweet! The dessert selection is great! If you're planning to order online, order food only and then when you go in to do the pick up check out the dessert case. There are so many more options in the restaurant than there is online. This is what we always do. There are 2 parts to the restaurant. The pickup quick cafe side and the sit down restaurant side. We don't really ever eat in but it's a cute little Italian place. The cafe portion is busier (in times I've been there) with traffic going in and out- but I have seen people eating in there as well. That side gives me more of a pub/cafe vibe. I don't understand all the crappy reviews. If anything, this place has gotten better with time. The quality of food is great. Food always cooked the way you order it. Pizza isn't undercooked or burned. Chicken is never chewy. Eggplant isn't stringy. Salad is ALWAYS super fresh, as are the toppings. Don't think I've ever gotten one piece of brown or slimy lettuce! It's a 10 from me!“
“We stopped by this restaurant on the way to the train station and the food was very good. The pizza's crust is crunchy and the pizza has a lot of flavor. The portions are big so the kids quesadilla will feed 2 kids easily. Friendly service and the restaurant is clean. Will recommend.“
“While I was in East Lyme visiting I decided to try this place. It was actually really good and the service was pretty enjoyable as well. I ordered the plum ceaser and the pesto bread and both were super tasteful. Whoever is in the East Lyme area should most definitely try out The Plum Tomato!! :)))“
“First visit on a cold rainy day. Followed a couple to seating in an enclosed porch area, thinking inside area just a bar. Wish I had investigated as there was a cozy table in front of a fireplace that would have been warmer. Food was delicious, lobster roll, fries and slaw all very flavorful. Prices were reasonable and enjoyed reading about history of the building.“
“The food is delicious! Better pasta than anything I’ve ordered at the casinos. The pizza is consistently good. The owners are very friendly and personable.Hanna is an excellent bartender.Happy to go and go again.Kid-friendliness: Family is all welcome.“
