“I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of Zuppa until recently - this is totally a hidden gem! Everything was so flavorful, even the olive oil with fresh Italian bread! You can tell everything is made from scratch, and even the drinks were fantastic. The calamari was crispy and served with such a good marinara sauce that I could’ve drank honestly, and the meatballs were fantastic. Delicious French onion soup and Caesar salad, and the chicken Milanese was piled with arugula and veggies. The pork chop was super tender and the homemade cheesecake for dessert was a great way to end the meal. I can’t wait to visit again already! The food came out very quickly, and the servers were attentive. It was a classic dining room and everything was clean.“

“Well, well, well…Don’t you love it when you’ve discovered a new fave place? This was our first time dining at Puente, and as we tend to do, we TRIED to explore the menu, but there is so much to choose from - fantastic selections because of a varied menu. Firstly, before I get to the food, as a Plant Mama, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the presence of so many houseplants. Just gorgeous, healthy plants that you can tell are loved. We came for happy hour, but tapped into the dinner menu too. Dillon provided excellent service throughout, the wait for our meal components was appropriate, the music was at just the right volume and created the right Latino vibe. We tried sweet fried plantains, yucca fries, guac and salsa, (the chips are fantastic - you know it’s hard to find THE perfect chip!!) the carne asada, red beans and rice, and the Papi Chulo. ??????. Absolutely no room for dessert, which we regret. Sipped on several margaritas between us and I tried the Cocuito-tini - so, so good. We’ll be back soon!“

“Haven’t been here in a while and my friend was taking me for lunch for my birthday. First and foremost our waitress Dawn was one of the most amazing waitress I ever had. She was so attentive and great sense of humor. Got our orders right out to us and the food was fantastic! The prices reasonable and I will be going back A+“
“Who knew this local bar has a legit Taco Tuesday!??Located on West Main St in Meriden is Maloney's Pub. Sad to say I have lived here for 20+ years and just started going to this establishment. I was missing out. Bar staff is very nice, provide good service. Drink prices are reasonable and they have mostly any liquor you want. If they don't they will order it for the next time you go! I knew they served food but general go after the kitchen is closed (after 10pm). I went on a Tuesday and overheard someone ordering tacos. I ordered 2 chicken tacos. So good! The ingredients were so fresh and chicken was seasoned perfectly. I am a huge fan of salsa verde and this was the best I've had. Tacos were $2 a piece & draft beers are $3 on Tuesday. Good food, cheap night!“

“Sat at the bar and shared a couple of beers. Our bartender was very attentive, and checked up on us frequently. The bar area was clean and so was the bathroom. We came at an off time so it wasn’t busy. It was nice that day, they had the garage doors open with some tables sitting in that entry way. A bit too chilly for me, but some people were taking advantage of the fresh air. We didn’t have any food.“

“Wow! J Timothy's came highly recommended to us and they totally followed through. We just wanted to try the wings so we got the sweet chili dirty style and they were PHENOMENAL. Huge, juicy, saucy, crispy skin, couldn't ask for more! We had to try the tater tots smothered in cheese curds and gravy (of course). So delicious and a generous portion. We haven't tried the peanut butter pie that we got to go but it looks fantastic. We sat at the bar. Friendly, lively atmosphere for a Tuesday night. We will definitely be back to work our way through the menu while we are stationed here. Thank you for a great dining experience!“
