So much variety and willing to make pies by request. Definitely recommend for your party. They provide paper goods too. It was so easy and we could enjoy the party and not worry about cooking. “The dirty wings are absolutely amazing! I was raised in western new york and I really happened to enjoy chicken wings when they are good. I don't get them too often now as I am very skeptic. I was visiting in town and read about these dirty wings over there. They are the real deal.I like my wings crunchy.They did that and they had some sticky to them.It was kind of nice.I got the Buffalo style.They were a medium "heat" , as advertised. One thing I am very particular about is blue cheese. Blue cheese can make or break the chicken wings if they are anywhere on the fence, which these wings are not on the fence, they are down right good. The blue cheese is the real deal.It was delicious. I also ordered a Reuben.It was okay.It was kind of dry for me and didn't have enough thousand island dressing for sure. I've been on a Rubin streek for the last few weeks on the road and this one kind of struck out. The wings were incredible though really. The order too a bit longer than I anticipated with the time I was given. It was not a huge deal as the gift shop is pretty neat and the young lady working in there was very kind and helped pass the time through conversation. It was a pretty happening place in the bar and restaurant area a good place to be with a group. Good vibe for sure.“
“Had the pleasure of attending a catered holiday party here over the weekend. What a wonderful experience! The bar staff was super friendly and the food was outstanding. We were treated with chicken marsala, pork tenderloin, delicious pasta and rolls, and a wonderful dessert platter! If you have any sort of event you need hosted and catered, I can't recommend Mulligans enough. Even if you just want to come grab a bite by yourself, they're open during the week! However the $1.50 for the up charge on french fries was not worth it. The fries were soggy, limp and unseasoned.It wasn't all bad. Dough was good , fresh cut mushrooms instead of canned and plenty of sausage and it was cooked as I asked for a change. Also got a meatball grinder which was good also. “I have literally passed by this place at least 10 to 15 times and never stopped by but today I was craving some Mac and Cheese and I didn't want to cook. I am happy that I stopped here. It's kinda hard to see from the road so slow down when you are close.On first glance, the restaurant is spotless and the gentleman who was taking orders was very polite and very prompt with my order. ? The Mac and Cheese is very tasty and they have huge portions even for their sides which is a very welcome change. ? “I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. Had the regular order of nachos with chicken and chili. On point as usual. Next up was 2 orders of 6 wings. Buffalo Bacon ranch(-fantastic) and Mango habanero(meh they were kind of flavorless and watery tasting.). Other than that just a few drinks. The waitress taking care of us was very on point. She went so far as to warn us when we sat down that the kitchen was extremely busy due to two separate parties they were hosting. Nice to know we could change our kids right up front.“

“Food and drinks were absolutely delicious! There were 4 of us and we spent over $300. I was shocked when the bill came. Drinks were more than the food. So next time I will be more aware and ask for prices before ordering. I guess that’s our fault.Our waitress said she was new so we gave her lots of grace. I get it but our first drinks took 15/20 minutes to get to us. After we ordered food it only took 10 minutes we were pleasantly surprised. A couple of our drinks were wrong. Good thing we looked over our check cause there were wrong items on there but it got straightened out.We went on a Saturday evening and didn’t know there was a $10 cover charge cause a band was playing two hours later. We were just going for food and drinks but we ended up having fun and paid the cover so we stayed to see the band.“

I sat down, was given a menu, and was immediately amazed at the selection. The theme seemed to be Korean, but Japanese appetizers and chicken wings were prominent! I ordered the beef bulgogi, and was so satisfied.String beef and veggies over soft fresh rice in a scalding hot pot.
